I care about the skin of someone else. How they take care of it that is. I could care less about the color. Had you going there for a second didn't I? In all seriousness, I really don't give much of a damn about skin color or appearance in general when it comes to dating provided you actually take care of your body.

I haven't seen examples of too many, but then again I don't go out in places where I might. New things always raise an eyebrow for the first couple of times. For myself it's culture rather than ethnicity that makes the difference in the end, BUT appearance of course factors in as well. It's one of those things I would never want to do - until I would.

It's normal around here (UK) and with my family (I'm Chinese and two of my uncles have marries white womens). Around here we have abit of an Chinese community (well the only time I see the gathering is the Chinese New Years) and there are quite a few polish people aswell to warrant two polish shops.

Heck I have heard one or two interraical stories aswell (a customer asked me for advice on how to make a good impression to the Chinese inlaw which her son is marring to and another about a black person marring to a Chinese girl and had childrens).

Bang whoever makes you happy.

I mean, I've grown up around Cincinnati, Ohio, and for the most part I guess it's accepted here? I don't really go around asking how people feel about it. I attended a rural high school, and there were plenty of racist kids there, so I imagine the idea still isn't taken very well in that area.

Figures Texas is only second to California for interracial dating:
Not to piss on the parade, but that's basically a list of the top 20 populated states, slightly out of order.
And yeah, this. States with higher population (Which, if you notice, the three most populated states in the US have taken the first three places) will more than likely be the ones found on this list. A more appropriate method would be some form of per-capita of singles using dating websites- which would be very difficult to effectively formulate.
It isn't just " population" alone though, it is also the makeup of that population that affects the prevalence of interracial couples. You can have a larger population that is less ethnically diverse and that would make it much less common. When you look at the demographics of these states:
http://kff.org/other/state-indicator/distribution-by-raceethnicity/

It coincides with the prevalence of interest with interracial dating data from the dating website. These states being the highest immigration areas in the US is what contributes to them being much more ethnically diverse than most other states and is also why it is much more common to have an abundance of interracial families in these regions.

It's not that common here because South Wales isn't that diverse, but I'd certainly have no problem with it and neither would normal people.

It's as normal as the next relationship as far as I'm concerned, however it is less frequent where I live but that's because the city is 92%+ White British

I don't know ... I'm the product of a Filipina and 3rd Generation English-German Australian father.

I would think it weird if my family thought it was strange.

I'm kind of pale-olivey skinned. I only take on that Filo brown when I've been sunburnt. Unlike Caucasians that go pinkish brown, I just go full on Pacific Asian-style brown. It's like; "Filo anti-Sun powers, activate!"

Pretty useful in Australia ... oh, I live in Sydney.

My girlfriend is white and im black. I live in Montreal Quebec. We are pretty diverse here this city so it passes pretty well here. Outside of montreal, not so much. Quebec is a pretty racist province. It's worse if you don't speak french. It's bad enough if you are white and only speak English, but if you are black and don't speak french, lord help you.

It's funny because my best friend is a little Philippina woman. When we hang out we get stares from everyone, not only that but people tend to remember us where ever we go because it's very rare to see a black dude and a asian girl together.

Er, normal and fine/dandy.

Northern Indiana, about 40 minutes from Chicago, so we're pretty used to seeing all stripes hereabouts. Not anything new or interesting to see interracial couples.

I currently live in South Africa and... well, its not really the norm here, I mean considering that just 20 years ago the country just got out Apartheid so mixing about is still kind of uncommon. Not to say it doesn't happen I've seen plenty of different racial groups mixing but you still have some places where an interracial couple will get a lot of head turns.

But my view of it should be taken as fact, I rarely leave the house so it could be mixing pot out there for all I know.

i don't think its something you see that often around here. but i live outside a pretty small town so i can't really tell how common it is. then again one of my old classmates is dating a latino girl i think.
my personal opinion on interracial relationships is, Yes please.
considering my current crush is of mixed heritage if i were against it i would be against her existence so i'm for it.

I am in one, seems normal to me. I don't know anyone who has ever expressed a thought that there is anything wrong with it so I guess no one cares in Massachusetts(USA).

I'm in Florida and..... it depends, both on the extreme of the skin tone difference and the area in which you live. There's a large Hispanic population here, White + Hispanic won't get many batting any eyelashes.

White + Black, stay on the coast, you'll get some opinionated old people making comments occasionally, but some areas of inland central Florida, that's where the white supremacists live, I wouldn't go anywhere near there.

We don't really have that large of an Asian population, but I don't imagine a White + Asian couple would get too much notice.

I don't see very many Black + Hispanic couples however.

As for my thoughts, I don't have any problem with any interracial couples, you love who you love.

I live in Holland in a town bordering on Rotterdam, and it depends on the races. Blacks and whites, not so much. Whites and asians, pretty common, especially white guys and asian women.

South Yorkshire, England.
Not that common, but also not regarded as anything, really. For as long as I can remember my locally born uncle has been married to my Kenyan Aunt. There is a lot of racism around here though, especially in my town (My town provided most of the BNP's votes, if I recall correctly). The racism isn't usually against black people or skin tone in general (although a not insignificant amount is), it's more aimed toward the Eastern European and Middle Eastern immigrants and Gypsies.

Mostly all these ethnicities either come with their families or stay around people of the same culture so there's to much chance for those relationships to form.

Personally I am not racist and have no problem with interracial relations, and I will say, not for the first time, that my home town is a proper, full on shit hole.

Being the product of one, I didn't know people cared until I learned in history class it used to be illegal in the states, and then that whole backlash at the cheerios ommercial with the interracial couple a few years back.

Last I knew, I was in the whitest state in the US. I don't imagine population demographics have changed much. So it's probably not a shock that it's kind of rare here. And when I was dating a black woman, we both got shit for it.

Yeah, that Cheerios commercial made alot of people upset and I didn't know why until they said cause it had a interracial couples with a mixed race child. To me, that's perfectly normal and never thought twice about it but to others WOW, that anger, distaste and rage. As if interracial couples with a child are seem as some sort of sinful abomination. AND THIS WAS THE 21ST CENTURY HERE!!

And yeah, in some states if a black man was caught with a white one or the other way round, it would involve the police and someone would be arrested for it. "Dem dirty niggers can't be seem with pure whites". It's honestly sickening

It doesn't matter to me. Two humans happy with each other is all that matters. Race shouldn't matter. Of course for some folks it still does and thats just sad, but not everyone is going to have the same perspective.

As I say, I ain't one to argue over something when people are doing something that makes them happy.

Of course its pretty well normal here as Florida itself is a mixed bag of folks. For all the flak people toss here, its not as racially divided as people think. I see more mixed race couples as I get older and there isn't any (public at least) spitting in the streets over it.
