Couldn't choose from all the games I have ever had, so I will just choose from the games I have now.

DAMN IT! It's still hard to choose even with the games I have now! Nevertheless:

3) Dead Space - My first survival horror game, and I completely loved it. Good atmosphere and well written story. Still had to play it with the lights on though.

2) Red Dead Redemption - The long and eventful story meant there was always something to do, and I have always been a fan of Rockstar and sandbox games. Nice ending to the story.

1) Fallout 3 - This is my favourite game of all time, and Bethesda have also made other great single player games in the past (which unfortunately didn't make the list). I played this game for hours on end and overall must have clocked up over 150 hours in total. Huge explorable world and lots of side missions and DLC to complete. Simply put, this is the best game ever.

Commiserations (sp?) to the ones that didn't make the cut:

Bioshock
Forza 3
Just Cause 2
Portal
Far Cry 2
Mirrors Edge
Heavy Rain
F.E.A.R 2

In no particular order:
Blinx
Either Mass Effect or Fallout
And even though it's more like reading a book then actually playing a game, I'm going to throw it in here because I absolutely love it:
The story mode in BlazBlue:Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue :Continuum Shift.

1. Dragon Age: Origins - An immersive game at its best. It has a great plot, great characters, and a great world. When you take the game apart and look at each part of it individually, the graphics, the gameplay, the controls, it doesn't look all that spectacular, but when you mix them all together, it makes something incredibly good, the likes of which I've never seen before. Simply fantastic.

2. Fable: The Lost Chapters - One of my first RPGs, and the reason I got into RPGs. I never heard any of the hype before playing this game, and from a blank slate, it simply amazing. It's immersive, your character dynamically changes for their alignment, the story is great, it has one of the best villains of all time, and it's simply an amazing game in general.

3. Fallout 3 - I didn't know what to expect doing into this, but I love this game to death. It has a huge immersive world with each location being relevant in its own way and having story behind it to find, the voice acting is great, the combat is fun, leveling is fun, and the whole game was polished to a mirror like shine. I dumped over 200 hours into this game, and I can't wait to do the same with New Vegas.

Honorable Mention. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - I have a soft spot in my heart for the Mario RPGs. I love the Mario and Luigi series despite the small hiccup at Partners in Time, what I've played of Super Mario RPG is great, and I simply love the Paper Mario series (Except for Super Paper Mario). This game is able to keep everything fresh with the funny dialoge, the dynamic fighting system that has the crowd throwing items at you, the backdrop collapsing, and the enemies doing cool things in battle like attacking the crowd. This is simply a fun, fun, FUN game.

Mafia
KotOR
Mass Effect 2
PoP: The Sands of Time
Assassin's Creed 2 (such a shame that a game with a really great, fairly high-brow story results in threads of "AC2 ending WTF?!?!11?")

There's no real order to them (they swap around in terms of my favourite), and I know I cheated, but I can't be limited to just 3!

1. Mass Effect series
Sure the 2nd one is my fave but can't count one, without including the other. The Mass Effect franchise certainly has one of the best stories in a sci-fi game, set in space but that's not the reason why I love it so much. It's the believable galactic setting and I just like how Bioware slowly but continuously feeds the player with information on the different worlds, systems, races and technologies. I'm just fascinated by the possibilities of future technology and space travel and it's the same reason why I like novels such as "The Foundation saga" by Isaac Asimov.

The characters are also a major reason and it's great being able to get to know all of them, whilst getting accustomed to the traits and mannerism of each race. So to Bioware... thank you and I'm expecting great things from Mass Effect 3. ^_^

2. Fallout 3
I've played this game for God knows how many hours and I've still yet to complete my 1st playthrough. It's just one of those game where you can spend hours just roaming around the environment, completely immersed in doing whatever you wanna do. Playing this game is like living a 2nd life... with an overarching story/quest behind it.

3. Rome Total War
Probably my favorite RTS game of all-time and the singleplayer is the main reason why, since it has the most replay value of any game I've played. I just like completing the campaign as one of the Roman factions, only to play again as an Arab faction and then again as a Mediterranean faction, yet again as another Roman faction and they each play fairly differently. See what I mean... replay value.
