Im looking for more MMOs to play because im tired of the usual ones.
So just post your top 3 MMOs.
Try to refrain from putting WoW on that list
And if possible, suggest a good free MMO or shooter MMO.

EDIT: My List
1. Age of Conan because I just loved that game. It felt original
2. Warhammer Online because of the scale of the pvp
3. Champions Online because I dont have a better third, dont want to add WoW here.

I used to love planetside, but I couldn't say how it's held up over the years.
Sony has pretty much killed off planetside. It's down to one server and we got small, balance patches bi-yearly. Content patches came once every few years. I think we had about one game moderator, who also moderated some EQ server.

1.) PlanetSide
2.) WoW(Arena is fun, PVE is a borefest)
3.) I haven't played any other MMO's. Unless you count alpha testing Global Agenda.

Only ones I've played are 2moons and Guild Wars. 2moons is good if you like grind and tons of character progression, and Guild Wars is good if you like PvP.

1. World of Warcraft, because it's truly the king of MMOs.
2. Age of Conan, because it's really fun to play.
3. Runescape, because of the amount of time I've poured into it.

1: Dungeons and Dragons online, from what I've seen it's good and completely free.

2: Guild Wars, highly enjoyable with a full storyline to follow in each game. Have to buy the games but no subscription fees.

3: Warhammer Online, good game but have to buy game and pay subscription fees.

Runescape,it isn't made for constant play, only on again and off again. Eve Online is also good fun and city of heros/villians is another MMO that I have found enjoyable.

Try any game from this site,

http://www.nexon.net/

All the MMOs published by this company are Free to Play

Maplestory: 2d MMORPG. Cartoony graphics (big head, little body). You start as a beginner class and can upgrade to the more advanced classes (warrior, mage, archer, thief, or Pirate). Fun game play.

Mabinogi(Personal Favorite): 3d MMORPG with a rather large game world and surprisingly good graphics for a free to play. Class system is dropped for a free skill acquire system (you get almost all the skills through your beginner quests).

Combat Arms: Online FPS. not exactly a MMO, but worth a look since its free. you purchase new weapons with the points you get for defeating enemies. (Hard for me to play on my laptop)

Dungeon Fighter Online: Arcade style MMORPG. Fun and easy to play, combat flows really well.

1. Astonia 3
2. Cronous
3. Jade Dynasty (only because I can't think of any other.)

I've played many free MMOs, but I don't even remember the names. I usually quit after a month or so - except Astonia 3, where I lasted about 5 years on and off (mostly off), but I quit recently.

1. EVE Online
2. PlanetSide (Pre-Core Combat)
3. Lord of the Rings Online

Once Dust 514 comes out, it will most likely take the number 2 spot, and when World of Darkness Online comes out, it will finish off the list (strong possibility of taking the number 1 spot).

I have, in my time, tried Runescape, WoW, EVE Online and LotRO. So if you're looking away from mainstream MMOs you're out of luck, because by my experience they are the better ones.

You didn't want to put WoW in, so I agree with you there. Runescape is... free. That's its only real good point actually, even if you are barred from the best game content without paying.

EVE Online is very, very slow. I avoided boring because it is people's opinions that make it interesting/boring to them, but it is very slow. And I happen to find it boring as well.

LotRO is... incredible. I recently got the trial and was ensnared by it. I'm a big, big Tolkien fan, and I'm impressed with their Middle Earth.

It's beautiful, good to play in if you like LotR, reasonably fun, and is very deep in terms of content for money.

I only just started subscribing, and unlike the other MMOs in the list above, you don't spend the early levels just grinding or looking for nice gear. Plus, the players seem mature and good-natured, at least, compared to the others.

I would quite like to try Champions Online actually, but since I haven't played it I have to recommend LotRO.

I get bored of any mmo after around 2 weeks except for WoW which ive been playing for 3 years somehow...

1.Wow no explanation needed
2.Aion I guess because it felt a bit different and new
3.Eve because it was interesting I guess just incredibly boring

Ive played a few more like AoC and WAR but they just felt like inferior WoW's.

FF11, FF11, WoW, in that order. FF11 gets two spots because the story was so awesome AND you got to be a part of it. I doubt that kind of depth in a MMO will be seen again until FF14 comes out. WoW wouldn't technically make the list, but its better than and Eve Online, which was a lot of fun but had very little story interaction.

1) City of Heroes. Always will have a special place for that game.
2) Everquest. First always stays with you.
3) Everquest 2: It tried so hard and the music is lush.

After that comes AoC, Warhammer, LotRo, Anarchy Online, Requiem, Guild Wars

In the bin though,
Final Fantasy X1 : Dreadfully slow and tedious grinding.
WoW: Contains all that sickens me about new MMOs
SW:G : WHY DID YOU...? Just...noooooo
D&D Online: Just ugh.
Champions Online: Messy hotchpotch of a few brilliant ideas and an awful lot of awful ones.
