I haven't played played a lot of games due to budgetary issues and time and all of that shit. So, instead of my top five, I'm just going to list off all of the games I played that came out this year amounting to 5.
5. Thief: BLEEGHSDFL:KSVXCV
4. Destiny: The problem wasn't this game being overhyped but that it's just...boring. I mean, yeah, hype had a lot do with it, but everyone seemed so excited. "OH MY GOD!!! LOOK AT HOW COOL THIS GAME LOOKS" and I'm thinking "I we looking at the same gameplay footage? The ones that look like...well,
every other shooter ever? By the time it came out, it was a near-death slap of reality to a lot of people. I'm hoping that people are going to be prepared for the next time something like this happens, but...it keeps happening
3. Titanfall: This one I can get behind. You're not going to see me go out of my way buying this game or see me spend a lot of time on it, but it is quite fun. Giant robots? Flexible character movement? Fast paced multiplayer? Giant Robots? And, also, Giant Robots? It's not the best, but it's fun enough.
2. Mario Kart 8: Nintendo just provided the most refreshing breath of fresh air by virtue of not really doing anything to change.
1. Super Smash Bros for the Wii U: Yeah, once again, the same thing with Mario Kart. We've all played it before and we know what to do, but damn is it just so much fun. In an age of heavily market games of nothing but brown and shooting, these two Nintendo games may not be the ones we deserve but the ones we need. And on what gamers deserve? Not much, honestly...Santa has been seeing the way some of you have acted, we haven't exactly been the best.
Anyways, I guess The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Wolf Among Us are two games that came out this year. But, honestly, the only thing interesting to talk about with those games is that they aren't as interesting to talk about as the first season of Walking Dead, but I've yet to play the season finale of the new game. Also, I've yet to play Game of Thrones.
