I couldn't really say. I sure act differently online, probably because of the faceless anonymity that comes with it. But then I also act different when people are around me in real life too. If I am neither on the internet or around people, I think that is the real me, which kind of feels like a guy's version of a less extreme and pessimistic Daria.

Online on a certain forum (and really on forums in general online), I'm really more open then it real life. Online I talk about things I like that I'd never speak of to people I meet or know. Online I'm actually trying to hold back my EVIL ANGER OF HATE, while I don't so much in real life.

Same thoughts and things as in real life. I think it would be confusing to be someone else intentionally on the net. If I'd have multiple personalities without knowing when I open the web it would be cool but on purpose would just be.... ...confusing?!

Online I'm more quick witted and make every other person I chat to laugh. But in real life I just sound like a tard when I open my mouth. I don't know why but as more and more people are around me my brain gets exponentially slower. I guess it is just a big self esteem issue I have and I just close up.

I'm like that too. I'm incredibly self-conscious in real life and lack confidence at times.

Well my views are the same IRL as they are on the net, I maybe take a little more time to think about how to express them though, as the written word is so easily misinterpreted. Sometimes genuine intent is misread as sarcasm and certainly the reverse is true. So I adjust things slightly in the hopes that my point is still made the way I wish to be made as people cannot hear my tone of voice.

My style of humour is kind of abrasive and really requires context, so I keep it off message boards because what in my head sounds like a light hearted jibe just looks downright insulting and vitriolic when written down. Other than that, the same.

The way I would say the sentence above in real life is;

You can't sound intelligent when you talk like that.

In real life, asking me for help on the street will result in being ignored, or being told to "fuck off" if I'm in a particularly bad mood.

Of course, that's nothing compared to how I act near my boyfriend.
