When in college/university, nothing beats off-campus apartments. I lived in a cheap two-bedroom in the slums (got Mom to pay for it because it was cheaper than a dorm and she was paying my way) and used it as the ultimate bachelor pad. When you're college-aged it doesn't matter if you live in a bad neighborhood, the fact that you live on your own is like Spanish fly to slutty college girls, and I had my fair share.

Then again, I also failed to complete school the first time, due mostly to the fact that I spent more time in the process of getting laid than I did on my studies, and now in my thirties I'm married, back in school, and a 4.0 student.

So after a quick and simple "I'm fed up of home I'm going to live at uni" to my boyfriend, I've decided to apply for accomodation at uni of course starting September. I thought I left it too late but seemed fine.

My 1st - 4th choices were the cheap places where you share with people and cost about £1000 - £2500 a year, not bad in my opinion.

I'm just wondering if it'd be safe to take the 360 and what not there with me if I get a double room? As Teeside (uni I'm going to) have a massive games room where you can rent and play games anyway!

And I'd also like to know what you're accomodation stories/ prices are :)
I'd love to know as well, Im in the same situation, but going to the University of Stirling... I think theres some lockable drawers and things, but im generally mistrustfull...

[edit] ok, same situation apart from the bf bit :p

I'm not going to take my 360, but only based on the fact that with it there I'd never get any work done.

My accommodation's about £3675/year, but it's privately owned so the rooms and living spaces in each flat are huge; if there's any Liberty Living accommodation near you, I'd definitely try and get that (http://www.libertyliving.co.uk/city_list.php?city=Newcastle)
Hey, you're at Newcastle? I'm starting there this September. Anything worth telling me?

Oops, sorry, my bad. I posted that link to the Liberty Living in Newcastle to benefit the OP's author. I'm going to be at Glamorgan (campus in Cardiff). Guess the only thing worth telling you is not to mention Sunderland football club, unless you want to piss people off :D

Newcastle or Northumbria uni? I know someone who's already at Newcastle (doing medicine) and someone going to Northumbria... Apparently Newcastle has one of the best student night life.

I think Middlesbrough is better though :)
