Wave Race and F-Zero are better, if you’re concerned about racing mechanics. MKart is all about the tracks and powerups.Mario Kart has too much drifting. People don't even take the slightest turns without drifting because of how weightless and lame the physics are.
Which is why I don't bother with racing sims nor realistic racing games anymore for a long time. That's why I love about the arcade racing games that use either legally distinct cars, or it doesn't bother getting any licensed cars at all. The best part: there are a bunch of them on multiple or on nearly all modern console and PC platforms. The lack of destruction in racing games is a massive detriment that isn't talked about enough because people just accept what the car manufacturers demand. I would rather have much fewer cars from manufacturers who did allow full destruction or even knockoff cars over this BS.

I know about Wreckfest 2. The other game is new to me.Sounds like you should check out.
I still say SFV has the worst art direction (not counting the first game nor WW SFII), even though it got better by seasons two and three. That game was rushed out hard and some character models or backgrounds look better than others.SFVI is an uncannily ugly ass game with shitty art direction. Idk how people think this shit looks good.
Did it go the darksouls route? I played a demo of it and it felt more like a hack and slash then a souls game.Stellar Blade I would have been more interested in, had it not go to the Sekiro or Dark Souls route. I really wanted a DMC style of game. The developers of course are free to create whatever they want and that's fine, but the moment I found that out I lost all interest. It's okay, because I already got what I wanted with Hi-Fi Rush on PS5 now. Even if I didn't, I'm happy that other people are happy that are genuinely enjoying the game for the right reason.
Capcom needs to bring back V-ISM/Custom Combo and put into Street Fighter VI or the next mainline title.
It's more so Sekiro than Dark Souls, though some very minor Soulisms show up.Did it go the darksouls route? I played a demo of it and it felt more like a hack and slash then a souls game.
I wouldn't go that far. I don't like all of his game's either, but hack he is not. The man and his team clearly cares about their games, and make the games they want to make. Like them or not. At least they have passion, vision, and don't try to screw their fans nor customers over. Not to mention, they have two different live service games. Both of which have kept them going strong, along with their other titles. And I don't even touch their live service games. Yeah, Suda and Grasshopper are going to be around for a long time and are still not going any where.I don't care for any of Suda 51's games and I think he's kind of a hack.
I will defend the gameplay in No More Heroes 1-3 (not Travis Strikes Again; the combat sucks there), Killer Is Dead (Suda didn't direct the game, and only acted as executive producer), and Shadows of the Damned (though it was Shinji Mikami who mainly developed the combat for that one). The shooting, aiming, and movement in the last game I find way more satisfying than Resident Evil 4. Killer Is Dead has the best combat out of their games, and still plays well today, aside from some jank here and there. Ironic, as he did not direct that one, but the gameplay is an evolution of No More Heroes 2 combat.. I don't think any of his games actually play particularly well (and they pretty much all play worse than the games they're homaging),
That really only applies to Lollipop Chainsaw (once again, he never directed it, and only acted as producer), some parts of Killer Is Dead, and most of No More Heroes III. I am assuming Romeo Is Dead when it releases, but I am all for the sillier aspects and sides of gaming. I rather there be honest fun, even if flawed, than some super serious game with a false sense of maturity, and a director with a head up their ass on trying to be "more mature and adult" to impress people who don't give a rat's ass about them or the medium they work in the first place.a lot of his plots are zany for the sake of zany rather than the zaniness making them interesting.
I don't think No More Heroes actually has very good gameplay.I will defend the gameplay in No More Heroes 1-3 (not Travis Strikes Again; the combat sucks there)
I'd never said all that. It's why I refer to sequels. The second game removes the entry fee shit, and has a boss selection mode after beating the game. The third game does bring back the entry fee, but it's very much less tedious and annoying. Yet, after beating the main game, there is a boss selection mode. When you go back to the to Travis's hotel. The mini games are kind of terrible, driving the motorcycle feels bad, and basically the entire overworld sucks. I mean they made it intentionally monotonous, but making something intentionally bad doesn't absolve it from being bad.
Most creatives in the game's industry are hacks, that's why they are in the game's industry is because they couldn't cut it the other industries where all the talent is at.I don't care for any of Suda 51's games and I think he's kind of a hack. I don't think any of his games actually play particularly well (and they pretty much all play worse than the games they're homaging), and a lot of his plots are zany for the sake of zany rather than the zaniness making them interesting.
Even the most talented gameplay and game system designers aren't in the video game industry.Said by the same guy having no issue making excuses or sucking up to hacks and assholes not involved in video games, in create a field to have no business being in, or in politics. The same guy with armchair science and psychology and having no problem making excuses for the anti woke grifters. Your input don't count for shit, war is needed to figure that out.
