I'd make the zombies read aaaaaaaaaall the "Zombie Apocalypse Plan" threads on here and use the time to escape.

Get in my car and drive, drive, drive. As for what to kill them with (seeing as I have no real weapons but can turn plenty of things into weapons) probably just hope I find an abandoned store with something I can use as a weapon (I'd only have a knife from home to begin with). As for sleep, aka when I'd have to stop the car, um...probably out in the middle of the road somewhere in my car (zombies probably wouldn't make it to the interstate very fast and if they did I might be able to start my car up before they could get me). As for food, loot a store. Oh, badass zombie killing music would be a must. People I'd take with me...family, then we'd try to meet up wtih a buddy of mine and his family (we're good friends, and hoping something like this would happen in an "I wanna kill zombies" kind of way, and he's got guns). After that, probably find a place that would be hard for zombies to get to, or that we could at least trap up a bit. After that we've got a flexible zombie-apocalypse-resupply-the-base plan. So yes, we've thought this out...in public
I would join the throng of Nerds wielding knives and golf clubs all vying for a chance to kill a zombie. But wouldn't get a chance since the Australian Army is the best in the world and would have swept the zombies out of Australia.
Ok seriously this time.
I would secure my family and friends then create a convoy similar to the one in RE3:extinction
but without the bus full of kids, oooohhh yes thats a death trap there. I would have a bus full of Ammo, food, and katana's and of course guns
Then after a few weeks of travelling i would begin to broadcast a message that would slowly bring in more people to join our convoy. I would inspect each of them to ensure they are good enough for our convoy. If they were not i would give them their things and maybe a few rations and ammo.
When the convoy was full, say 20 vehicles, i would raid Sydney, Guerilla warfare style.
After all, they're zombies, slow dumb zombies, that would easily be lured into the traps of my men/women.

I'd get a firearm, capture supplies, commandeer a vessel, bring ladies, then sail to an oil rig in the North Sea and hope that the fish don't take up the zombie fad.
Believe it not, I've actually had this discussion with my family (jokingly of course). Our plan is to get the family units together at my uncle's house (across the street from me) and dig in there: where we have two full families (14 people) worth of food supplies for a week or so, his enormous arsenal (last count over 90 weapons and 40,000 pieces of ammunition), and the best possible vantage point to defend ourselves from zombies (we're on the local high ground and there's open field behind us).
I personally own an old shotgun, a .357, and a scoped M4. I could get myself and the 6 others in my house anywhere close safely.
The long term plan would be to convoy with other survivors and head to the super Wal-Mart a half hour away. The key to surviving the zombie onslaught WILL be staying well armed and close to other survivors.
My family is ready for the zompocalypse.

My friend and I have been throwing around ideas for a while about what to do in just such an occasion. Options include but are not limited to using a strip club, since they all have heavy doors and no windows, and setting sail on a cruise ship or ferry or whatever large boat we can get our hands on and then anchor offshore.
Grab non-infected family and friends, supplies, and head out on a boatinto the ocean. Also take much fishing gear to replenish foodstuffs. After all, it's not like rotting flesh does so well in water. It tends to sink.
travel to the local ski resort, hang around there and loot the local town. I'm not going to tell you were I live (no offense but you know just in case you turn into a zombie) but if your going to survive the zombie apocalypse you need to bye The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. Tis great reading and very educational. Also for extra reading on the subject i recommend world war z by the same author
I would unleash my velociraptors upon the oncoming wave of zombies and see who would outlast the other.
