You're a predator?

Hiya escapists.

A recent thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.236820-Poll-Morality-of-To-Catch-a-Predator] got me thinking: What would it be like to be accused of being a sexual predator. So I have a scenario for you.

Imagine you're on the way somewhere you normally go in your spare time, like for example football practice. When you get there, you are met by Chris Hansen, asking you to "take a seat over there". He claims to have definite evidence that you have been soliciting sex from children. How do you react? Panic? Try to reason with him?

Myself, I think I'd try to reason with him. If all else fails, I might just flee the country though.

Edit: It seems I didn't explain it well enough. All research done before and after your meeting with Hansen would indicate that you are indeed a sexual predator; as if you were subject to an elaborate conspiracy or something. It would be nearly impossible for you to prove your innocence.

Then make a fool out of him in public about how much he brought up bad memories and, just like Fargo i can simply say "Prove it!".

No, I don't really know what I would do if I was being accused of being a sexual predator. I would ask for proof and if they say that the only proof was that they saw me then I would claim him to be a stalker and get a restraining order or somehting.

That probably would not work. I don't know really. Just live with it I guess. There isn't much anyone can do on accusations alone so unless it got out of hand it probably would not bother me too much. THen again I've never been called a sexual predator before so I can't say that it wouldn't effect me in some way.

Being innocent isn't the point, the stigma attached to such a claim even false can ruin a man.

Chris: "....Ok."

I then accuse him of child molestation, make claims without evidence, and then call the cops on him. If he's trying to hunt me down for a molestation I didn't do, I think I should return the favour.

I have been accused of that shit before, never got the police or anything involved, but a certain sister in law thought that I was sleeping with a cousin of mine, i can't make this shit up. We did hang out alot because neither of us really had any other friends(lame right) but the girl is like a sister to me & the fact that my sister in law thought that we were doing shit made me sick & pissed, i still won't have anything to do with that damn woman.

This. I admit it Chris, I go to this gamestop very, very often and I do talk to the other customers despite age but, when I tell them to 'eat my ass' it isn't a come-on. I tell them to 'eat my ass' because they try convincing me that Final Fantasy XIII is a good game.
