So... it might have come to your attention that now pressing Enter while typing a comment on YouTube will post it immediately.
I have adapted to many site re-designs but this one... it simply makes no sense. It looks like something you need in MSN or in Facebook. I understand that YouTube is also a legit social website but I don't see the need to quickly post comments with the Enter key. To me it's only an excuse for "txt spelling" and other silly internet "traditions" that have made a comeback since the 90s/2000's.
It's not 1996 anyone. Your connection won't drop in the next 2 minutes. It will take no time for the comment to reach the YouTube servers even if you max out the 500 characters. Why do we need quickness on a website like YouTube.
Obviously I am not saying that YouTube "prose" is inherently superior to other social websites. You'll see people txting their msgs and severely underestimating their spell checker but the fact is that you'll also see lots of assholes trying to sound smart with things like correct spelling and grammar, or even... *gasp* breaking up their arguments in paragraphs!
To quote Wiki: "The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare." - Obviously we have proven this wrong trough the use of Facebook and YouTube, but shouldn't monkeys have the right to use paragraphs?
Do you people make any sense of this recent change?
