Definitely worth a good laugh, which I needed. The one thing that bothered me the most was his statement that "Everything is trying to be like WoW" as if it were the creator of the genre. Definitely not true, as WoW followed in the steps of many MMOs before it, and until technology takes a huge leap many more will follow them still.

Maybe so, but remember that the first one is not always the most successful.
Halo was not the first FPS, yet they're the staple for FPSes for a handful of years now...

I hope you are not serious. Halo is far from the staple of FPS. The first one was alright, the two after it were garbage. I suggest you play a proper shooter sometime.

Every MMO is trying to be like Warcraft like every FPS is trying to mimic Halo. Everyone wants to make the Halo or Warcraft money and if they make a World of Halocraft FPS god help us all because it will throw society into panic over the sheer amount of people trying to dust each other off to get a copy.

As usual it's great fun, but there's only one thing that bothers me concerning all these MMO-reviews. And that would be the WoW reference. Now, WoW was rather late to enter the fray, and wasn't the first bringing the same controls, the aspect of endgame etc. As a matter of fact, I believe that most of the things were taken from Everquest.

Now to not sound as a rabid fanboy, I'd also like to state that many developers do seem to copy that gamestyle because Blizzard showed it can be way more succesful.
But all in all, they still weren't the first. (as is generally misconcieved :0)

Love the review. I did enjoy the game, well the first 20 levels of it where I wasn't being ganked in missions. The thing which I really hated was that in the single player part you had a good story and the NPCs had voices, then after you go to the "real world" all that disappears. Gave up on the game soon after that...
