right you are Yhatzee, you herculian exemplar you, this game tries too hard in singleplayer to cover the fact that it was made purely for the multiplayer crowd, its sad rly but I still had a blast playing it on veteran dificulty to prolong the shortness of the campagin, which is rly short btw. At least the german pornstar grew a full beard this time around...

Lol, I love to hear Yahtzee play devil's Advocate. There have been so many positive reviews about the game, that I was beginning to hear the sounds of IW tossing each other off in my sleep. I'm also rather glad that he took the piss out of the PC dying three times, because, lets face it, it really is nothing but trying to cash in on the response to Jackson kicking it in the first one.

I am disappointed however that still no one has ripped on the blood splatters. Every time I see it I cringe, because it looks like friggin' jelly. I keep expecting Bill Pullman to show up in a flying Winnebago.

Specifically, I live on Io, and thus have heard nothing prior to this review aside from the fact that I am apparently one of the few people in this solar system that doesn't have this game. Following this review, I can't say that my level of interest has changed much.

I actually wasn't that surprised that he didn't like the main campaign, but I was surprised that he actually tried some kind of multiplayer. Was a nice review, but I don't think I'll be getting Modern Warfare 2 all the same. Borderlands fills in the FPS void in my PS3's library at the moment, and right now I'm playing the hell out of Assassin's Creed II.

Wonder if he'll be doing that next week...

As usual he pretty much sums up what annoyed me about the game. He isn't missing much from not trying the multiplayer though. Apart from the usual batch of Xbox LIVE freaks and their tiresome abuse.

The story was just completely unbelievable to the point where I was sitting there at the end wondering if my character was going to wake up out of a deep coma and say it was just a dream.

Have to agree about them throwing away realism but I still prefer a game thats more like this than say Operation Flashpoint. Personal preference. Fantastic as per usual though!

Although I'm pretty sure MW2 was not made for the Single Player (despite it's polish) and more for the Multiplayer. Although Special Ops was good.

Of course the story was ridiculous, there was no way they were going to realisticly top the first one.

So wait, does ANYONE who posts within the first five minutes get banned, or is it only the ones who claim to have watched the video/yell "first"? This has been bugging me for a while.

you'd think they would have some sort of ban system that made sense, but I got put on probation because the video hadn't ended(had like 1 minute left on it) and I had commented on "only part of it" because I didn't finish the rest of it. Who the hell cares if I watched the whole thing, I had a fucking opinion. I mostly write out what I want to say about half way in than wait for the video to end. Has the same post, but it is "later".

Pretty good review. Proably the best in a long while (At least in my opinon). I can understand the players dismay at the Single player, but I was kinda iffy about the Co-op. Good to know that it may actually be good.

That was by far one of Yahtzee's fastest readings yet. I had no idea something was going on with Russian terrorists in the game. After this review, i probably still will not buy it. BUT strangely enough, this review is motivating me to buy COD4 (after remembering Yahtzee's review of it).

I completely agree about the SP campaign basically being shit, but luckily it's very short so the suffering doesn't last long. I did get rather annoyed with the game's tendency to kill you off as part of cut scenes, although I was more royally pissed when it did it the first time in the game because it felt like some sort of stupid punishment. The Special Ops mode does hold some promise, and I'll likely get my fill of it tomorrow at Thanksgiving with my cousin, but that alone doesn't make it worth $60. Currently I'm more than happy with my current gaming 3-way of GoW Collection, AC2, and Prototype.

I've already dedicated myself to not playing this one. While I did buy Modern Warfare 1, I thought it was kind of average as far as FPSes go.
