That was actually the funniest ZP I've seen in a while, I rarely laugh at them anymore but this tickled me in all the right places.

I never had any interest in this game but the review was... interesting if a little inconclusive. Looks worth a rent when I have fuck all else to do through the summer anyway, if just to try out this crazy jetpack combat.

Is the player character also cross-eyed?

Because that's the only way I can think of for why his helmet would be like that.

somehow I thought this week would be Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, but on retrospect I had absolutely zero logical basis for that. even if it's in the works, we probably still have a few weeks to go, what with the sudden bombardment of big names. I hope he does plan to do it, though; it seems like Climax got the point that they shouldn't be messily emulating an established style, and now that they're sort of doing their own thing, the result is surprisingly solid, even if the whole psychological-tailoring aspect was far less than it was made out to be (and even if the running segments were sort of horrendous.)

I don't have a lot to say about this episode, having never played Dark Void myself, but yeah it was cool too.

I've started tuning in to ZP just to find out how many people will try to pretend they've watched it and get put on probation!

This was a confusing one, some of the things he criticised actually sounded pretty cool and he seemed to go back and forth between liking it and disliking it!
That was the point, he was saying it has very good parts, very bad parts, and in-between parts, and that makes it hard to judge.

"Too Human" was the worst game he reviewed? What happened to "Sonic Unleashed"?
He said the 2D parts were good, mostly, but the awful stuff outweighed the good stuff.

I should have said this three weeks ago when I was thinking it, but, bravo! a return to form! the late November/December/early January/whenever stuff didn't seem that good but Yahtzee is back on the proverbial horse and looking it in the mouth... or something.

Also wow, he wasn't kidding, he made it wider. I'm all for more resolution but, if I may so say so, I'd rather in not all be in the x axis, but that's me, I like 4:3 more than 16:9 (and would someone tell monitor companies to quit it with 16:10 already please?!).

I'm wondering if that "alternate Napoleonic age with war fought on the backs of pterodactyls" was just a test by Yahtzee to see how many book nerds he could rope in with that comment.

Counter starts at 1.

Meh bioshock is worse than too human.... at least too human was trying something different and failed instead of being ultra safe and boring because it was so easy.........

So too Human is supposed to be Yahtzee's worst game he reviewed?

Interesting I thought there were a lot worse games he did but yeah Too Human is incredibly badly made.
He has never played the DS version of Guilty Gear.

I heard that Dark Void, like Bionic Commando, was based on a classic game, remade into a more mordern, "hardcore" game. Actually, as it turns out, I mistook the "boxart" for the "classic" game as being an actual NES/Commodore 64 game, when it actuality, it was just made up for the DSiWare tie-in, Dark Void Zero.

I guess their thought was, since the remade Bionic Commando was more well-received than the newer "hardcore" one, they might as well get Capcom to make something similar for Dark Void, so that just in case the actual game sucks, there's the chance that the tie-in game will be better.

Does Yahtzee have a DSi? Maybe he could review it, or some games on it along with Dark Void Zero.

Damn, first what, five people all suspended? And shockingly, none of them said 'first'...

that out of the way, I've gotta ask: was that a very tentative, veeeeeeery hesitant recommendation there? I mean, you didn't totally destroy it, and you presented some very nice points... still, great video, even if the moral gets a little confusing.

And really, Too Human was the worst game you've ever played evar?? huh. I thought that honor would have gone to Turok, seeing as how you spent that entire review saying Turok was a frankenstein monster of the worst aspects of the FPS genre. but then again, if there's one thing I hate it's 3rd person shooters, so Too Human would probably take my vote too.

hey, I'll take 'too easy' over 'too hard' any day. at least then I can beat the last boss and feel like I got something out of my purchase, as opposed to feeling that the game has beaten me.

Stop laughing, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. One day...

All i could think of trough the video was about "the rocketeer" game for the ness based on the movie based on the comic (yeah, i know) *google search*

here

it was really fun to play, weird it wasnt mentioned on the vid... or is it too old to be remembered??
I hope it's not too old to be remembered, though I am disappointed that it took a hundred posts to get mentioned in the forums.
Throughout the video, I was essentially thinking "Interplanetary Rocketeer". Sounds like it would be worth a go; I used to play Aerofighters Assault for the N64 as a flight sim more than a dogfighter, the physics were so good.

Anyone having a weird issue with this video? Instead of taking me to the Dark Void review, it takes me to some damn 5:25 ad spam-fest for other Escapist-related stuff. =P

Too Human is the worst game Yahtzee's reviewed? Odd, I thought that "prize" would've gone to either Wet (which he declared in an interview to be a conglomeration of pretty much everything he hates in games) or Sonic Unleashed (which probably had the most sheer vitriol of any review I've seen from him)

it was just an aside, you guys. I don't think he has some excruciating scientific process for ranking his reviewed games best to worst.

Well.... if you built it decently then have the whole easy=normal/normal=hard,hard=hell, just make a very easy mode where all caps are doubled and maybe remove penalties...but not rape the every living hell out of the default setup...... ><

Here is my rant for BS FYI
