Anyway onto the matter at hand. Maybe its just me but has anyone else noticed a significant decline in the amount of people watching Zero Punctuation? I mean have a look at one of his earlier movies, his review of SSBB and it has 1230 comments. Then look at his most recent, a review of Fable 2 and it has 318.
Did it cross your mind that the SSBB review has been there longer? Plus, stop a moment and read the comments. I bet most of it is bile at how much he hated it.

Beat me to it.

OP, how the hell do you expect something that's only been posted for five days to acquire as many views as something that's been sitting there for roughly a year? Seriously, are you that thick?

Please don't be another Donald Mcronald, kid...
There have been many trolls, recently there was that one with the suggestive name... likes_it_rough, why did you choose Donald?
He's the one I remember the best over the others
My thread just got hit by a guy named Ronaldo_McDonaldo. Ring a bell?

As for the OP, I think he's not declining in popularity, it's just that people are feeling less of a need to post comment. Plus, I believe that SSBB review came shortly after he was featured on XPlay, which brought a HUGE increase to his popularity (I'll admit, it's the reason I first heard about him), so that boost might have worn off.

The amount of comments doesn't necessarily show that less poeple are watching. I still watch it religiously.
Me too
i think it's just that people aren't commenting as they used to.

I don't think so but I'm not going to argue with you about it. I thought the review was subpar, lacking in depth and amateurish at best.

But, funnily enough, a friend of mine said yesterday that he was 'losing faith' in Yahtzee because he 'hates great games' (he meant Dead Space here) and 'loves sh*t ones' (don't know what he was getting at there).
He's probably one of those "Twitching, ritalin-popping zbox owners who falls into a narcoleptic coma if they go 45 seconds without killing something" who thinks Psyconauts is a "chunky vomit milkshake" that Yahtzee mentioned.

My god, I'm not a fanboy, but I think I have that part memorized.

Funny you should mention that; he does seem to have a psychotic streak in him when playing multi-player FPS's...

I guess it has nothing to do with the fact the he reviewed SSBB about a year ago, and Fable about a week ago...

it seems to me that its only natural that his comments should drop for the simple reason that people that spam a comment section up into thousands of coments have the attention span of gnats. you know all those 'dewds that was teh best EVAR !11!!' kind of commentators? they have slithered off to the latest and newest 'thing' on the net to continue their crusade of pointless commenting.

those of us that are left still enjoy the reviews, i watch them every week, but dont feel the need to comment on them much. after all there isnt any real point to adding my opinion that no one will care about to a list of other peoples opinions that no one will care about is there? (im aware of the irony of this very post). i enjoy his brand of humor but that very brand doesnt lend itself well to actualy 'building' a community. hell his very attitude is clear he doesnt give a shit WHAT we say about him good, bad, or otherwise so why bother commenting on his work when he doesnt care what you have to say about it? its not like he will hop online and post a reply to you when you call him a ball sucking sperm burper. there is really no one to comment to but each other and there are far better forums on this sight to talk about things than in comments section of each video that is just flooded with halfwhits that cant resist hitting 'post' just to let the world know that you though this reviews was shit/teh graetest EVAR.

I think i can explain the "lack of popularity" you see. The # of replies listed aren't the number of times his video has been watch, its just the number of people who watched it and decided to throw in their 2 cents.

To base the popularity of his reviews on forum replies is not a good way to go. I watch his reviews every week and never post about them, doesn't mean I didn't watch it.

and @Jharry5, I think what your friend meant is that Yahtzee tends to rip heavily on main stream games and praise the ones that slip by. Which that is a trend he seems to have, but often times I find he's right about what he reviews. (a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning is a rape face weapon btw)
