Is one also slipped under my radar.

But from sounds of it for good reason.

Might rent it, but otherwise great review!

Actually, funnily enough, in Nier Replicant (aka: The primary Japanese version), Nier is a Teenaged boy trying ot save his little sister.

That's the only change. They just swapped out Adult-Father Nier for teenaged-brother Nier.

Oy.

If he hadn't mentioned it on Twitter, the review earlier this week had me thinking we'd be seeing Nier in ZP this week. It's standard ZP fare, i.e. very good and funny, especially the name Yahtzee assigns to Nier when he gets the opportunity.

What is this 'Illbleed' of which he speaks?

Yeah, I'm surprised he never mentioned Grimoire Weiss, the two seem like they'd get along great.
That pun at the end though? Hah! So horrible that it was awesome, and trust me you aren't the only one who suffered from a Nier-Death experience.

And, for the life of me I can not find anything about that "Illbleed" or "Lilbleed" or whatever game... I'm quite curious to see what a chick with just 3 strips of tape looks like.

Woah what Yahtzee's seen the true ending of Illbleed? Maybe he watched that LP...
Probably. Considering what I just posted, you can tell that I did, too.
And I regret it.
Immensely.
To quote myself:

One of the worst [twist endings] was Illbleed... I watched an LP of that game, and it was OK at first, then got really weird. The New game plus is Just... Oh, GOD. GOD, [small]Get it out of my head![/small]
Why...‽‽‽
No....
Brain bleach! Brain bleach!
Seriously, Yahtzee. I posted that just yesterday. Yesterday. About a game that almost no one has heard of, and before this video has only been mentioned twice in the entire Escapist. Are you trying to screw around with my head‽

At least you can tell the main hero IS a man...

Regardless I would only pick this one up if I played a demo first and it was cheap. Why? Well mostly because of the former statement. It has the weird art style but no cliche she-boys clogging up the story.

"Zelda is only one game with about 50 different dresses."

Really, I would say it's 2 games with about 25 different dresses each, 1 game with two terrible CD-i dresses, and Zelda 2.

As previously stated in the LAST review of this game, this doesnt sound that bad. Even yahtzee said "meh" instead of shitstorm. Since most games are shitstorms, i think ill give this game a try. Yes, its probably tiring or something.....but it has some very unusual....varieties, which is good, which youll find if you try to look some of the characters up. very....new character types....

not that anyones going to read this 5 pages in

I wasn't really impressed with the look of this game on the video review that was on the Xbox 360 dashboard, looked kind of lame to me but after seeing Yahtzee had a little bit of praise for it i might rent it just to see what it's like.

Well Yahtzee, since you got so excited over this game for slipping in under the radar, try Metro 2033, you just might like it since I do recall you kinda liked Salker: Clear Skies and Metro 2033 is known for being very similar.

I've been looking forward to Yahtzee reviewing a game that no one has ever heard of. So this made my day.

O man, I was hoping Yahtzee would know about the localization they did with this game. They actually changed the main character of the game between the Japanese version of the game. He is an angysty teenager in the Japanese version, but they decided to change that as it wouldn't "Appeal" to western players. Something I actually agree with.

If I recall, the game actually does poke fun at the characters and how they dress. I remember seeing one scene that pokes fun at the woman for fighting in her underwear.

Anyone else get a nonworking video screen?
I did, but I realised I was in private mode and just signed in and it loaded up fine, so I guess it just needs a refresh sometimes.
