So what is it with Ninja Gaiden and the number 3?
On the Nintendo, for the U.S. version of Ghost Ship of Doom, the creators decided to double the damage and knockback, nerf the continues to 5, make every continue start you at the beginning of the level, and put in areas where you have to sacrifice one of your three lives. In other words, make the game so stupidly hard that most never beat it. (I myself have only seen the ending through the magic of the Internet.)
Now, with the new series, they decide to make the game so stupidly easy that you just sleepwalk through the whole thing.
Is this a 3 Bears things? This trilogy ends on too hard a note. This trilogy ends on too easy a note. Do we need a third trilogy to have a third game that finally strikes the balance between too hard and too easy?
