Ironically I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes making it to the top ten because I hid for the majority of the game. It's kind of like what Jim Sterling said, the game rewards you for being an utter coward.

Was Yathzee becoming The End in the closing panels? Or was it just an amusing take on him spending most of his time hiding?

...To say this was an unexpected choice would be a major understatement.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
I find pubg one of those games that is just weirdly compelling for no real good reason. It tends to be rougher then I prefer and I've never liked the one life games but its got a weird combination of hide and seek/treasure hunting/panicked shooting that just works to make me say "I'll fuck those guys up next time."

Maybe it's because I don't have a YouTube channel or Stream, but I don't get the appeal of these slow boil, overly long multiplayer meme games.

This game doesn't sound all that appealing to me. Also Poverty Undermines Buying Games.

Wasn't the grass thing fixed by the time the game went gold, or is this a completely different grass thing Yahtzee experienced?

doesn't look particularly fun, in fact quite mindnumbing, repetitive and frustrating alongside the inclusion of the most unimaginative assets and customisation through lootboxes on a game that already has an up-front cost. Is it even officially a 'finished/released' game yet?

Still, great for streamers and their revenue I guess.

the developers are apparently working on a Steampunk MMO, which I am far more interested in. There is the small chance this is just their sellout period to fund the more creative and passionate title. But MMO implies heavy grind/repetition, and probably more lootboxes, so am not fully on board and am quite prepared to deal with the wasted potential with forlorn dismissal

PUBG is actually pretty interesting to study as a game because it presents some difficult problems that are inherent in a ton of FPS games. Just for starters, Snipers in games are either underpowered or OP'd. There never seems to be any true middle ground.

The best I've done is 1st, with only 3 kills.

1st kill was with a dude where I nicked the pistol in the first moments of the match and had to gun down my now hapless foe.

2nd kill was a dude who stumbled upon my brushy vantage point and had to be taken out to save my hide.

3rd kill was putting the last other person on the island out of commission, in what was basically KotH with bullets on a rocky outcrop by the beach.

I've seen ads for this game all over Gamestop last month, with almost no idea what the hell the big deal was. Glad I missed out after Yahtzee revealed it's a

Piss-poor,
Ugly,
Boring,
God-awful game.
