I haven't had the chance to play any Half-Life games, but my boyfriend does have this game. He bought it after we both saw this review. Keep up the good work. ^__^

Was portal really that great? I trusted your review and went out and bought the Orange box...basically only for Portal. I'm hoping it's as great as you claim.

I'm starting to trust your gaming opinions over most of the other game reviewers out there
(based on the fact that you have the nuts to talk shit about Halo 3, and everyone else is too scared to really speak their minds about it).

Keep up the good work! (I think you need more caffeine not less :D )

It's not worth $50 on its own, and I don't think it'll keep you occupied for months on end, but it is really a very unique experience.

I don't know if anyone else saw this.

You misspelled Freeman.

I'm 99% sure that was an intentional misspelling. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe he wrote his name as Gordan Freemon.

I know I'm probably never going to get it, but Yahtzee, what's your SteamID? I'd like to play TF2 or Source against you some time, considering I'm in the same timezone.

Look, we all respect people's opinions, some people will find HL2 boring, I didn't find it boring. This game has high production values and people seem to ignore them, some people say that this game is highly over-rated, it is over-rated in the slightest but not to much.

Portal for me was really fun, I can't believe why people don't like it. Sure, there are some boring areas but that doesn't retract from the experience.

And one more thing for residentsteve:

This game is considered as an excellent piece of game design and manufacture. And no, it is not perfect. No game is. You don't like the game? Wonderful, good for you. You have your own reasons, which are, as far as I can tell, that you don't care for the setting and production design. This doesn't make it a bad game, nor over-rated. That simply means you guys don't like it.

EDIT: I suspect that the people who post why they hate HL2 can be people who think that this game doesn't suit their taste, which makes me to wonder why the hell did they picked it up in the first place. Buying a game without looking it first is a terrible idea...

I say that he chose the correct words for Portal. Team Fortress 2, I would say that as well. Now Half-Life 2 is pretty much a pass time, for me. I can't get past the one car. Can't care now that I moved on. There is one thing I forgot to mention, I am singing the end song to Portal, during the talent show! Thank you.

"this is the most fun you'll have with your PC until they invent a force-feedback codpiece."

Looks like they did that: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features_popculture_blog/2008/04/the-ability-to.html

If you think its Magnusson, thats wrong... He was in half life 1.
