both of them have good humor while dissing off games....

who do you guys think would win if they went on a 1vs1 review duel or something xD

Good reviewer but he's not as funny as Yahtzee, but I think he's more about the review and Yahtzee is more about the humor.

That's the first video I've seen of him. It was alright, not as good as Yahtzee but entertaining (The guy totally looks like one of my friends in 5-10 years time).

Also, 100000% Lacks Yahtzee's English wit and charm.

I got bored of Yahtzee within a year, he is funny but for me the crude humor gets old pretty fast.

I find Angry Joe to be really annoying and Yahtzee much more entertaining.

As for the quality of the actual reviewing part, I really don't pay much attention to either. I know what I like and can form my own opinions.

Joe is a significantly better reviewer. He's actually peceptive and appears to have actually played the games he's reviewing. Yahtzee makes up excuses for not having played parts of the game (especially multiplayer) but then pretends he's still giving a review of the complete product.

They're just two out of a million reviewers online. If you want to make this correct, it would be Yahtzee vs. Nerd vs. Spoony vs. Joe vs. Every Other Youtube Reviewer.

Apples to oranges, bro.

Yahtzee makes fun of games, regardless of how fun they are, while AJ usually gives actual reviews of games.

Maybe he's being ironic because the topic involves Zero Punctuation.....

Probably not though.

OT: As said already, I think they are too different to compare.

Angry Joe is poor. It's this stereotypically "American" OTT unfunny rubbish like you get in those American kids shows like Hannah Montanna, and all the other things on the Disney channel.

It reeks of committee writing by a group of fanboys who are trying to be funny, but fail to grasp the concept of humour. The parts with the guy with the helmet seem to be attempting sarcasm, only they have no idea what sarcasm actually is. It's irritating, staged, and like many other "stereotypically American" productions, far too much money has been put into it, resulting in bright colours, and faaaaaaaaar too much going on in the video. While this may appease braindead slobs who are aroused at pretty colours, it's actually very shallow and cheap, becoming almost like a ultra conservative parents' worst nightmare of what gamers are like, and what video games do to kids.

The guy with the 'tache (is that Joe?) seems to be pretty smart, but he has poor presenting skills, and very little charisma. The difference between this show and Yahtzees is massive, mainly because Yahtzee's shows restraint, and pacing. It is cleverly worded, minimalistic, while not loosing any of the drive or humour.

At the end of the day, they are different shows, as Yahtzee is a critic, and Joe is a reviewer. Yahtzee doesn't give out "scores" at the end of his videos, leaving the whole thing down to personal preference. Joe is a guide as to what is good and what isn't, and in that respect (and that alone) his videos are more useful to a gamer interested whether or not to buy a game. Yahtzee points out the flaws in games, and is more directed at game makers, or aspirational game makers. However if Joe says a game is good, it might be. If Yahtzee says a game is good, it's a classic must have. That's an important difference to me.

To be fair, Joe lost the moment he made me sit through an unskippable advert (for Glee nonetheless) while waiting for his review.

I'd actually considered that. But being the pessimist I am decided it worth calling him out on idiocy than witty cleverness.

What is happening with the Escapist these days? It seems we're getting more and more people (good) but none of them seem to have any real knowledge of the English language. This makes me sad and furthermore I find it deeply troubling.

EDIT: After looking at how long he's had an account and for what I can tell, Lurking, he hasn't picked up that we like real words here. Even more troubling.

The guy gave a comprehensive review, but I still found him not funny and annoying.

Not that I disagree with you, but are you calling Zero Punctuation restrained and minimalistic? Because those are the last descriptive words that come to mind for it.
