If the Mexican drug cartel kills someone in a place like Alabama, it will be big. The fact that a foreign criminal organization killed an American citizen seems like a dumb move on their part.

You clearly don't live near the border.

This kind of thing happens all the time. You know who the top two kidnapping cities in the world are? #1 is Mexico City. Number 2 is....

The average person may not see it, but the cartels have a HUGE presence in the US. CA, AZ, NM, and TX see a huge number of crimes committed by these cartels. Look at the crime statistics from El Paso/Juarez sometime. A while back, there were reports of gunmen on the Juarez side shooting across the border and killing like 8 people.

Taking politics completely out of the equation, if you live in a state along the border, the Zetas are much more real than you think.

These are not people to mess with.
