I played it on my own and with a friend, and it wasn't particuarly amazing either way. Besides, fucking anything can be made fun and interesting with friends. You can't base how good something is on how fun it is to be with your friends.
Horribly painful rectal cancer can't be made fun and interesting with friends. I thought Nazi Zombies was actually very well-done for it being a sort throw-away bonus level. Its undeniably better when you have 3 other people playing with you and the two later levels (Shi No Numa and Der Riese) are a lot more fun than the previous levels because they add another aspect to the game. I'm not trying to convert you though because it seems you're quite adamant in your hatred of it. I think the best solution would be to just make Nazi Zombies its own full-fledged game with a story on how and why these zombies are appearing, how they get from location to location and such I feel that would be a lot more interesting. That way people who don't like it being attached to CoD will be satisfied and people who really enjoyed Nazi Zombies can be satisfied as well with an entire game about it.

I like defense style games, so even though COD isn't one of my favorite franchises having defend the house was a nice addition for me :D

dude, the whole mode was so boring. i don't get why everyone was all over it. i mean, WaW itself was so mediocre, I just couldn't believe everyone was so hyped for such a dull game mode.

Ha, I just love saying CoDBlOps :)

Sorry, but CoD games simply don't interest me in the slightest anyway (much to my friends' utter bafflement), and not even zombies will change that. Apologies to Treyarch, I'm sure they worked hard on this, but Activision can go suck on a lemon.

NZ was like a bad L4D. Why not play that instead? WaW was so mediocre. The only thing that made it different from COD4 was tanks. When they removed the tanks from Hardcore I went back to COD4. The big maps were designed for vehicles. Without them they were just empty and boring.

I played far more COD4 than WaW.

...and I promised I wouldn't let myself get hyped up over this game after what happened with MW2.

No, I did too.

What's with stores always releasing news about a game before a developer has announced it?

Nope. I didn't like the zombie parts of that game either.

Well there goes any chance of me buying this game now. I was hoping for a return to Call of Duty roots with a respectful view of Vietnam... well, I guess there's always Battlefield Vietnam...
Pretty much how I feel as well. I won't be touching this game for sure now.

I choose to call it CodBO, because it makes me think of a smelly fish, which is a pretty good analogy for the franchise now. Zombies was the only bit I actually liked from WaW, hopefully they release it as a separate downloadable title.

As far as I'm concerned, this is proof that even the DEV'S know that CoD is dead... It's just hanging around on life-support for the 'Donate to Bobbie Kotick's Children's College Fund' charity supporters!

:p

Man, it's kind of a bummer that we don't have a handy little nickname for Black Ops yet the way we did "MewTwo" for Modern Warfare 2. CoDBO? BOps? BlOps?

its beebop or bebops whatever for short.

You might want to fix that up a little.

Anyway, how about CoBop? Less squicky than BlOps, and easy to say.

Hm, am I the only one to call Bad Company 2 "Buff Buck 2", since that's what BF:BC 2 pronounces as lol.

Well at least that's something. Remember, the Nazi Zombies gametype was the main thing that helped sell Call of Duty 5 so maybe that means having the same in Black Ops will mean that the game has a bonus that keeps people playing. It sounds like a good sendoff in some respects.

Still I don't think I'll be swayed to buy it but I can admit that it does look interesting and using modern weapons against hordes of Zombies might be fun enough that I could pretend I was Todd Waino and it was the Battle of Yonkers.....

I only recently got indoctrinated into the MW2 fanboy club (it was really fun but I don't really play FPSs and never played the other CoDs) I'm looking forward to this.

Bops is definitely the most hilarious name, and it's one i thought of myself before you pointed it out.

Blops will stop being funny eventually in the same way that the Wii isn't really laughed at anymore, but Bops will never lose it's charm! (also it's shorter :)
