They must have some really clean streets in San Fransisco if they are fuming over this sort of thing. Either that, or they don't have flyposting there.

As an aside, I would choose neither to condone or condemn these marketing tactics.

HA HA HA HA HA HA...

Oh Zynga...

You're the company of a sleazy crook and con-artist who feeds off people's ignorance and has ad-campaigns that fit this theme, keep giving me reasons to hate the average person. :]

Wait it takes 45 minutes to remove some paper glued to a sidewalk? Rain could do it in a few minutes. It isn't like paper holds together really well when it gets wet.

San Francisco need some new steam cleaners, methinks.

"Zynga's recent marketing campaign for Mafia Wars involved gluing money around the streets of San Francisco, much to the chagrin of city workers."
The word is "Irritation", or "Ire", not "Chagrin", which implies mild bemusement.

Hope Activision and Zynga never merge, it would be the most evil company on the face of the planet.

"San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera has threatened Zynga with a lawsuit over the marketing campaign due to its cost to the city."

I see the problem here....You need to be suing for $100 million+ not just saying you might

And to think the Escapist almost voted this company over Valve.
Correction: to think that the Escapist staff allowed voting via Facebook for a company who's primary means of distributing games is over Facebook. (There will be flames if they don't fix that next year).

Social games are so recent and so transigent that i hope none of the big compnaies get embroiled in what could easily be a very short fad.
Too late: EA bought out Playfish, a specialist in these "social games".

Heh, well that is a first. I had no idea that they glued money all around Las Vegas. I remember doing this as a funny prank with quarters. Hilarious to see people try to get at it, lol! Though it sure is a waste of money, that being said, Zynga can come to my hometown anytime ^~^! I wouldn't necessarily mind having money littered all over the city. Would make going for a walk downtown a more interesting experience, lol! Getting money off the ground doesn't take 45 minutes of steam cleaning. Like 2 minutes of working at it, maybe. I don't get why the city workers are getting all unhappy about this. I guess now they have to do real work, and actually earn their paycheck, lol! Ah well, fun was had by all, but leave it to the government to spoil the fun ;).
