Some poor homeless guy probably tried to spend one of those...
Uhm, if it takes a steam cleaner 45 minutes to remove one, and some homeless person manages to get one off whole enough to spend it, I think he deserves more than the named value of the note ;-)
Maybe the city should employ him to get them off.

Seriously, this is no better than simple vandalism.
Did they want to get sued?
That was predictable.
Never underestimate hobo power!

Never estimate it at all, it's actually kind of gross. Involves lot's of pissing on things.

As angry as I get at commercials, they only take thirty seconds to go away. Some poor bastard had to spend 45 minutes cleaning it up? Fuck you, Zynga.
45 minutes? No, that would be easy.

Try 45 minutes times like 500 bills.

9000 minutes is closer to the mark (if you make a joke I SWEAR TO GOD!)

DOUBLE FUCK YOU ZYNGA! Seriously, how ridiculous is this, what are they going to do for their next mafia wars advertisement? Perform Drive-By's?
Well, they probably only found 3/4 of them, and one guy probably didn't have to do all of them. If he did he should to keep one, though.

TRIPLE FUCK YOU ZYNGA!! I think next they'll use official Mafia Wars drills to take out someone's kneecaps.

I hope Zynga gets fined so hardcore, they will dial a notch down. The Anti-Christ is being battled, my Brothers & Sisters!
Oh please. Zynga are hacks, but if anyone in the industry is the Anti-Christ, it's Kotick.

Anyway, seems that Zynga should have done their homework [http://www.wired.com/culture/lifestyle/news/2005/12/69741] before attempting something that's been done before. I could have told them before they started that this was going to get them in trouble. Still, it's possible they knew they'd get in trouble and will write-off whatever fine they get as "marketing budget"... which makes me hope that the city really slaps them hard. A fine that says "you should have just bought ad space during Law and Order".

Why does the HS outcast who does graffiti get jail time, but the Mafia Wars Company only get a monetary fine? This is only going to stop when some of the suits are put in jail, otherwise this is just more free publicity.

I'm sorry to tell you that it is in fact... well over nine thousand.

In fact, if five hundred bills were used, it would take twenty-two thousand and five hundred minutes to clean them all off the streets. That's over a year That's fifteen days of work if no exaggeration was made or an estimation off by a few... dozen minutes.

Then we have to factor in how many steamers they have... how many people to use the steamers... I'd like to think that they have enough and can avoid this, but still the costs would be pretty large and I have little faith in a government - of any sort - when it comes to their workers. Especially when it comes to funding.

SONY actually paid landlords & business owners to use their walls as advertising space.
Zynga didn't think that far.

Normally it takes five to ten minutes using the steam method to remove carpet glue from conrete floors.

I wonder what glue they used for the money that would turn the time limit to 45 minutes.
In comparsion to chewing gum: It takes a half a minute at steam temperatures of 329 degrees celsius.

Wow, the fact that my mental math was that far off is quite sad, I don't even have the excuse that it was like 3am, because it wasn't

shit.....I'm gonna go sit in the corner now and cry a bit.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Good first post.

And yeah, until we start seeing corporations and celebrities getting more than a SLAP ON THE WRIST, the justice system will forever draw my ire and pity.

Don't feel too bad... I made a miscalculation, myself... it's not over a year... it's only fifteen days. I forgot to divide the amount of hours that twenty-two thousand and five hundred minutes equates to by twenty-four.

Now, I'm going to go and have a cry.
