Steam sales stopped being good when they got rid of flash sales and bundles sadly. When I got my first gaming laptop i was able to buy every Valve game for like $30 which included Portal 2 that was still $60 at the time.
Exactly. For example Terraria is 4.99 now, but I bought it at -75% during a flash deal in 2012 or 2013 (can't remember exactly and it's a bother to check). BUT then again the game is much much bigger now with incredible mods and the game version itself has received many patches. Getting 1.4 for 2.50 would be a steal, but 1.1 was pretty rough in comparison back in the day.

It's disappointing to see so many of those low effort porn games still get glowing reviews, even though they're shitty, both as game and as porn.

C'mon people, it's fine to want spank material, but be a bit discerning.

Did you play it? Cause it might have great writing and characters. Plus, a lot of people seem to like the 3d model look, I don't really get it myself, but whatever.

No, I haven't. It was more a general comment on this type of game. I have played some of the supposedly good ones, but I don't think they're any more than competent at best. The blurbs and description of this one don't really inspire much confidence of being a big exception. Tho if you really feel I should play before I judge, say the word, and I will.

I got Titanfall 2 at last after getting prodded by a fellow TW player. After the BS that is dealing with EA Origins, it's fun so far.

Though, so help me gods, I'm downloading CS:GO... -_-

I finally got something. Battlefleet Gothic 2, so far its pretty fun and a good break from Ender Lilies. There are still like 10 games that are tempting me though, I'll end up with at least a few of them.

Dunno if you played the first one but I think its far interesting if your into RPG/fleet composition.

Sigh I just got done buying my stuff, it was over 100$ and then I remembered about everspace 2 and it looks so good that I broke my no early access rule for it. Ah well.

I think I played a demo of the first one or a free weekend since I seem to remember messing around with the orks cause of dakka.

Everspace is one of those games I wish I liked more then I do. I can't really even tell what about it doesn't really grab me, its not a bad game, I think its actually a quite good one, but for some reason, its just not really for me.

Well I might as well add some cheap / cheaper recommendations

One of the best puzzle games I've played in a while, I'd also advise getting the Santa's Slay DLC which adds an extra set of levels (not that the game doesn't have a lot on it's own). All of the games sets of levels are sort of parodies of 80s slasher film.

A Rogue-lite detective game designed more for a playthrough to take no more than an hour but with plenty of other stuff to experiment with and find and unlock extra stuff.

Alone a Rogue-like survival game what actually has an ending if you can figure out how to call for rescue, it does a great job making your feel isolated and on edge with only simple pixel art

Aerannis a stealth action game set in a Cyberpunk dystopian future city where men are illegal and all the residents of the city of lesbians. You play Ceyda an assassin / fixer who gets dragged into a conspiracy theory that could shake the whole foundations of the city. This one goes places and goes places you likely really wouldn't expect it to go.

Detective Grimoire a beautifully animated point and click murder mystery game

Claire, a slightly imperfect game but also probably the closest indie thing you'll likely find to a Silent Hill game (other than Lone Survivour which kind of felt like it had maybe too many mechanics to focus on in my view)

The only game that's even remotely caught my interest is Overload (the "spiritual successor" to Descent"), and even at seven bucks and change I'm not sure if I want to dust off my old flight stick for a cramped 6DoF shooter.

Overload is really good. I had a total blast with it and would highly recommend it.

Haven't played it but there's a game called aquanox that's also heavily inspired by descent.
