Can you even get a PS5 without paying blood money to a scalper OR obsessively following restocks? I thought it was still really hard to get ahold of one.
I can play the waiting game; especially since God of War: Ragnarok is getting a PS4 port. Last I checked, ps5s are still hard to get. I usually wait 1.5 to 2.5 years when getting a console. The only exceptions were the GameCube as I got it day one and it still works. Then there's a Nintendo switch when I got it, one year later after it released.

Besides, most of the games I want come out on PS4 anyway. I'm still waiting on more info for Gun Grave: Gore. I do not have FOMO, as there isn't much I'm missing out on nowadays. My Switch and PS4 gives me plenty of company right now.

I'm all about the BBDs.
Big Blue Dicks? What?

In my experience so far the PS4 ports to the PS5 have not been increased in price. If a game is $50 on ps4 then it's also 50 on PS5. And all the older games that got PS5 patches or upgrades got them for free.

Retailers have been quietly restocking them here and there, so you just have to check randomly and hope you get lucky. They do sell out quickly, but I don't think it's insta-sold out to bots anymore. My advice is go to all online retailers and put the PS5 on your wishlist that way you will be pinged when a restock hits.

Well, around these parts they're already fulfilling outstanding orders up to december. At this rate, new prospective buyers will be able to get on the waitlist by early 2022. So yeah, actually super easy, barely an inconvenience.

On top of that Scalpers with unsold product will be forced to drop their pricing to basically retail.

For slowpokes :).

I've been in next gen since November :). Ya'll just bitter :p
I'm mostly a pc gamer, so next gen+ start when I get a new gpu. Which consider their prices are dropping while availability is improving, will likely be sooner than buying a PS5 becoming feasible down here.

Easily understandable why GTA6 will take forever if they’re still aiming to surpass their last game.

That's assuming they're even interested in making a new game that isn't MTX fueled. I could be totally wrong(and I hope I am), but I've seem some dicussion that Rockstar is far more interested in RDO and GTA:O because they can keep selling season passes and gold bars rather then build new games for the near future.

I mean, Hell, they could have built a Mexico DLC or even remade RDR1 in the RDR2 Engine without too much extra effort and there's no hint of that. Which is a damn shame because RDR1 apparently is far too messy(the code is apparently a damn lump of spaghetti) to port or remaster for PC or PS4/5

Apparently it’s all but confirmed they’re working on GTA6 but yeah, even then it’s a wild guess to how it’ll turn out. They’re definitely more online cash-cow focused now, but I think they’ve put too much time and money into another GTA to not release it, eventually. It’s more than well funded with the constant GTA Online revenue, but it’s very possible the story mode will look a lot different than past installments. This article is probably the best explanation we’ll get in the meantime -

GTA6 looks like it wont be out until 2025 and surprise it's gonna be a live service game!
Boo!

I guess. I haven't played a GTA since San Andreas(and I didn't even finish that). Saints Row became my go to for crazy mayhem and OOT antics and Red Dead was more story and character focused while being a bit more grounded.

I haven't really felt the need to go back to it.

Finished it once and never bothered with the game again. I played GTA IV & V with my older brother once and that was that. Played Saints Row 2 with him, and we never bothered with the others. Though I think he did play Saint Rows III.

Can't wait for the inevitable launch-day server issues keeping anyone from even playing single-player for days on end. Maybe they'll pull a Diablo 3 and put in a real-money "pawn shop".

SR3 goes all in on the Wackiness and SR4 is pretty much Wacky in Space. Defintely loses some of the bite SR2 did(then again, SR2 had you mercy kill one of your own dudes after he spent miles getting dragged behind a truck) and tonal consistancy, but getting access to a fully armed attack helicopter for several escort mission is pretty awesome. I'm also not gonna complain that there's a string of mini-games that is basically "You have a tank for some reason. Blow up as much as possible in the time allowed. Targets are incoming".

The Mission in SR3 where you claim your rooftop penthouse by parachuting in and taking out every guard while "Power" by Kayne(and I don't even like Kayne much) is blasting will never not be fun. It's an OOT stupid power fantasy but sometimes that's exactly what I'm there for.

I still can't believe nobody tried to fill the gap left by rockstar not making GTA game anymore. GTA cloned used to be super common and they almost all vanished around the same time as they stopped making GTA, that's a gold mine just left untapped.

That was the last song by him I ever enjoyed. I still remember that E3 trailer when they played the song. It was that moment and the ending of Saint Row 2 that I realized, I became Mr.X. Then shouted to the sky, "NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!1". I got over it a couple of days later.

Multiple reasons

-offensive satire don't sell anymore in today's environment where marketing courses teaches you not to offend people in a way you can get sued or get hit by liability clauses corps love to have to excuse cancelling you because you made an offensive joke that was on the nose
-With Ubisoft popularizing GaaS and the standardization of open world games, there isn't much ground to tread on anymore. You got perfectly sterile yet playable settings that will always give you sales so long as you don't offend people.
-The age of celebrity cameos also died off, no one really cares that you got some famous actor to voice a major antagonist so much as their competency. That goes double for porn star cameos, hope the cheque and casting couch sex was worth the decline in quality.
