Seriously, they're making a V? More power to them, but I don't see myself buying. After the whole Agents of Mayhem fiasco, I'm surprised they are doing another one. I know that was a spin-off, but the series just seem to go dark after that.

It's a Reboot Not Reboot.
They are just cailling it "Saint's Row" and it looks like a new start to the series entirely. So new cast, new characters, new everything, but same Saint's Row Concept.

Yeah, definitely not interested. Just call it Saints Row 5 or add a subtitle or something. Enough with this whole soft reboot not a reboot bull crap. It just makes everything more confusing.
I saw the trailer, but I can't judge anything other than more stylized art style. They honestly should have just added a number, subtitle, or alternate continuity. Otherwise, I have to wait until actual gameplay comes out. If the game is coming out this soon in February, I would proceed with high caution.
It's everything "wrong" about gaming in a red flag matter. It's a Fortnite inspired Watch Dogs Hipster Legion Clone with EGS exclusivity instead of being gangstas and hoes like how Saints Row always has been.
No wonder Deep Silver had EGS exclusivity because no degenerate steam fan will get the game over Panty Quest 2022 Kagura Cut or whatever Steam hasn't lost to EGS

There's approximately 155 games attached to my EGS account, none of which I paid for. At the present rate of acquisition I'd say the size of my Epic library will eclipse the size of my Steam library in 6 months to a year, and I still won't have paid any money for it, assuming Epic continue to just shovel free games into my hands in the belief that they are creating "engagement". Think The Incredible Hulk (2008), Ghostrider: Spirit of Vengeance, or God of War (2018). This even double the case with God of War 4 as it's literally a sequel, and only a reboot as it's a new saga/beginning, but all of the other games did happen. Street Fighter IV & V sorta count as they are prequels to III, the final game in the timeline.

Yup. Fans of Saints Row didn't even appreciate when the game deviated from a more serious gangster tone to what they did in SRTT and flipped out when SR IV was announced. A lot of fans were hoping that the reboot would set things right. But no, Volition decided to double down on stupidity. And now we have a game where the main characters are a bunch of hipsters who turn to the life of crime to pay their student loans. Can you believe that shit? Is anyone supposed to buy into that plot for even a second? There's a reason why real gangsters look like they do and act like they do. A bunch of morons like the guys in the trailer would have been killed the moment they attempted to commit a crime.
