And I didn't say perfection either. There's good entertainment and bad entertainment. And unfortunately for me the show falls under bad entertainment. There are some parts that made me laugh, I have no problem in many of that. I'm not seeking the mind of human consciousness either, but when you go off preaching about how nothing matters, you're going to get criticized no matter what. And the show still act as if it's trying to say something important when it's not most of the time. Especially when it goes to great lengths the people who point out the problems, or its fan base that it's obsessed with continuity and stuff. Lesson 101 when it comes to entertainment industry, don't mock or piss on your target audience. The ones that don't act like jackasses or have legit and honest criticisms. Something that's really a big problem in the video game industry.
Yes, the show serve the purpose for you, but it's obviously going for something more than mere entertainment. That doesn't change what's wrong or the reasons why I have problems with it. Because I ended up not being entertained later on or in retrospect, so it failed at the thing it was supposed to do for me and a lot of others. You just saying entertained me doesn't fix the issue. All you're doing is another form of well it doesn't matter to me, I don't want to think about it because I was entertained. That's just another cop out. If it makes you laugh, good for you, but it didn't make me laugh that much. Whatever I laughed at, I either didn't laugh as much, or I realize how full of crap the joke was or it didn't land. So mission not accomplished for me and many others. I'm ending it there because we're not going to make any other headway. You can go on about how entertaining it was, but as I said before, it doesn't change the issues and it clearly wants to go beyond their entertainment, while at the same time putting its hands in the air saying, "I don't know nothing matters at the end of the day". If your message is like that and almost every single episode and we're supposed to think Rick is in the right, it's hypocritical, cowardly, and stupid. And if your whole point is pointless this, then you fail as entertainment in my opinion.
