Surely, if one's aim is truly to minimize suffering or maximize equality or maximize justice or what-have-you, then that should be the lens through which all actions are critiqued regardless of the person/party/state that takes them.
Oh that's not their aim. That's utilitarianism, and that's liberal bourgeoisie ethics. The goal of the Marxist-Leninist is to apply the process of Marxism-Leninism, which will apparently ultimately lead to the establishment of global communism. The process cannot be critiqued through the lens of ethics because ethics are not a consideration, only the process's utility in establishing communism is a consideration, and remember, Marxists believe that Marxism is the only process which can result in global communism. (The development of an ideal society based on a system of ethics is the preserve of utopian socialists, who the Marxists obviously characterise as decadent liberals who can never or will never establish socialism)

The fact that all it takes to get you to offhandedly dismiss survivor accounts and independent reporting is an article from AP that (partially) supports (some of) what you're saying, should tell you something about how reliable your decision-making process is.
That's way more than all it takes. Any random tweet is usually sufficient.

Of course, you yourself are happy to provide eyewitness/ survivor accounts for the damage done by the US in its imperialist missions overseas.
Typically there's video of those or an established pattern of behavior.

An established pattern of behaviour that you'll acknowledge, you mean.

Because we do have an established pattern of hyper-authoritarianism, state-sponsored mass violence from the police & security services, murder of journalists, state racism, & invasive/imperialist manoeuvres towards sovereign countries, dating back over half a century.

It dates to 1776, my dude.

Oh look, a joke that doesn't address the point.

Pretty interesting, that a laundry-list of abuses of power can interchangeably refer to the US government or the CCP.
It is almost as if US propaganda accuses rivals of that which it is guilty.

It's almost as if Marxism-Leninism is only capable of replicating capitalist abuses in new forms.
That is precisely what capitalist propaganda wants everyone to believe. That there is no hope of anything better.

Oh, another line that could apply interchangeably to either power!

Do another, do another!

That is precisely what capitalist propaganda wants everyone to believe. That there is no hope of anything better.
The despots are doing a stellar job of trying to prove it right.

Of course, they have their own capitalist propaganda to reinforce the same idea, being rigid corporatists themselves. There is no hope of anything better, which is why nobody gets to vote or ask for things without turning up face-down in the river.

Says you and the imperial propaganda machine that has a stranglehold on your country.

Yes, that's why they've been fomenting coups around the world whenever something that looks vaguely like socialism or resource nationalism appears.

And funnily enough, given the immense international power of the CCP's state-capitalist machine, they actually have enormous power over what you and I have access to.
This is delusional.

There is hope for better and there is hope for anticapitalism and there is hope for socialism, I merely happen to think it is not to be found in the ideas of the so-called scientific socialists.

Oh goody, we've reached "final solution" territory. :(
It's a legitimate phrase that can come up in discussing issues that shouldn't immediately bring to mind genocide (supposedly there is a 'final solution' to be found in policy for climate change, renewable energy, affordable housing, healthcare, etc).

However in this case, given this sort of language -
"The mainland has already issued a blacklist of Taiwan secessionists, and this proves that the mainland will separate the secessionists and other political groups and ordinary people on the island. And no matter what kind of solution, peaceful or not, those blacklisted will be brought to justice."
Yikes.
Fuck China.

And another! 3 for 3!

Yes, that's why they've been fomenting coups around the world whenever something that looks vaguely like socialism or resource nationalism appears.
It's why they've been viciously stamping down on any efforts to attain democratic representation, or lessen the grotesque inequalities, or even just to report on them.

This is delusional.
It's delusional to believe that a dictatorship, which violently suppresses independent reporting and speech, and also controls an enormous amount of global manufacturing/production (with contracts with almost all other capitalist governments) is not controlling the information you are able to access about the state of global economic affairs.

You mean to say that China has a stranglehold on your country's discourse? You're being silly.

It has a stranglehold on much of the information available about the standards and working conditions at play in the global supply chain, including an enormous amount of what you and I consume and use, yes.
