So yes lying about the vaccine is a woke thing because it's being done out of belief in a "greater good" idea of lying to get more people to get it without realising at all how this could backfire and also treating people like morons who shouldn't question such a study despite all logic saying there's something not right with it or an extreme statistical improbability going on. Hell here's a simple theory to explain it, people who aren't vaccinated are more likely to just grin and bear pain or injury and seek help less thus with something serious more likely to die or seek help too late to save them.

CNN reported quite uncritically on a study and didn't do even basic thinking here about how correlation doesn't mean causation. Nope apparently somehow the Covid-19 vaccine repels cars in the event of a car accident.
It's a vaccine not a dose of the blood and Powers of Domino from Deadpool.
Common sense should have kicked in somewhere and worse it further undermines CNN's credibility or worse further helps conspiracy theories say it's I dunno full of nanobots trying to take control of people. CNN chose to pick up this study likely ignoring many others because they figured it supported their political position without thinking it through at all.

Covid vaccine preotecting from death feels a bit like marijuana curing cancer or wine preventing heart disease level of story, but I also think this one is a fairly reasonable article. At no point are they actually showing critical thinking towards the study though that's part of the issue. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if the full study itself says something about how they're still investigating reasons why there is such a difference but CNN not reporting on it.

I mean, that article says that:

I personally think it's among their better work, and am pleasantly surprised they did not report it as "Vaccine makes you less likely to die from all causes" and then bury the correlational explanation.
