I do miss the over the top satire that GTA used to have. I was actually looking forward to these remasters because I don't think I played them since High School. It'd be cool to replay them on modern systems. But.....I guess not.

The heads at Rockstar/2K are too busy putting everyone on the Red Dead 2 and GTA Online assembly line to care about doing things properly. This and especially the abusing of their employees is why I have not touched their games since 2013.
Honestly at this point why bother giving them a graphical overhaul? Just do what the Master Chief Collection or Super Mario All-Stars did and just port the games and charge like 40 bucks(Super Mario All-Stars was a good collection just overpriced at 60) in total and people would buy. why put so much effort to make something worse?
When I was a fan, even I knew that was true. Saints Row 2 pretty much showed how shallow GTA was/had gotten by the time IV released.

Because the company is run by dangerous, rich, dickheads that all want to live the "ROCK STAR LIFE STYLE!".
Those two games are pure examples of sacrificing good and fun gameplay for the sake of realism. Even a standard Ubisoft game is much more fun then whatever rockstar puts out these days.
The game has set a new benchmark for weather effects tho, so it's got that going for it.
Nice to see Grab the Auto 5 was finally ported to consoles.
I see no difference between the two since 2015. Same shit, different assholes.
To the best of my knowledge, even Ubisoft hasn't put an actual casino in an online game with real-money microtransactions.
A reminder, Ubisoft already started using loot boxes since 2017 and 2018. Those by definition are gambling, except you get no money.
Don’t know if the video mentioned it at all but this project was outsourced to an outfit called Grove Street Games, for some reason. Guessing it has something to do with GTA6 but of course they’re not going to like, say anything. Anyways, Take 2 ultimately really dropped the ball here and needs to be taken to task for it.

That rain effect could be used as a literal torture method. I never thought rain could be nightmarish, but here we are.
I’ve never seen anything lower than a 3/5 on there IIRC. Pretty sure most of these are from people just clicking 5 stars immediately after starting the download.
Occasionally they sell SHARK cards for GTA Online so they can buy another bucket of coke.
