I'll stand up for the camping aspect of 15 (the first 1/3) which is a very unique and a fun road trip with your friend (who all later turn out to be total asshole, so really do bother going pass that). It nailed that aspect and makes me wish the game wasn't a mainline FF so they wouldn't have feeled like they were forced to do a "big plot" which ruined the game. Gameplay isn't that great either, here's hoping they do better with 16, thankfully that one won't have spend a decades in development.I've had good times with the FF games but I can't work up any enthusiasm for them after FF10, and even FF10 I only sorta liked(I spent most of FF10 wanting to punch Tidus in the face....a lot). I even bought 15 on discount and can't be bothered to even install it knowing just how thrown together it ended up being(and all the DLC BS).
12 is great... so that you can enjoy the rocketeer take on it, otherwise its very so-so imo (although the international/zodiac version allay some of the boring part)
Final Fantasy XII: A Travelog of Ivalice, by a Raving Madman
UPDATE: If you are averse to reading a large amount of text on an Internet forum, I have put the whole document in a PDF for simpler reading. PM me if you want a copy. If I had to describe Final Fantasy XII in two words, I would pick "fascinatingly flawed." The game is like a junk sculpture...
