Like we're to blame for the servers going down. Especially when FFXIV ran like shit back then. Also, console and pc tribalism is not surprising has been seen before. Hell, I remember there were Japanese fans were upset, confused, and bewildered that Little Mach made in to Smash (Wii U & 3DS).

Online games are basically going to eventually become unplayable by their nature(eventually the servers will be turned off), but Single Player games should always be playable regardless of an internet connection and companies should preserve their legacy...or at least get out of the way when the swashbucklers do it for them.

The Japanese faltered a lot during the 7th generation, mainly from the AAA space, but there are many that still got it. Plus, it made a comeback from all corners during the 8th generation. Big, medium, or small. I can assume the user saying this was either affected heavily by the ball drop during 7th generation, or so blinded by nostalgia when Japanese gaming was king, that said person has become very disgruntled.
As much as I love Japanese games from the past, the industry on their side was not perfect either, and had many issues. Some of which that still exist today.
