Love how the Liberal's plan for "living with covid" is basically the same as the GOP's plan of "good luck, hope you don't die. Unless you're poor"
I mean there's a vast difference between having that policy before vaccines were available and having that policy when nearly everyone who ever will be vaccinated (baring aggressive mandates) has received their shot(s) and boosters are available as same-day appointments for free. Also, unlike the GOP-led states, there's no banning of vaccine or even mask mandates. That said, I'm not sure it's the correct move in this case. We'll have to watch hospitalization rates and such to see.Love how the Liberal's plan for "living with covid" is basically the same as the GOP's plan of "good luck, hope you don't die. The virus is spread by animals as well as people. I don't know specifics animal to animal, but it's reasonable to imagine any mammal is a transmission threat. If you locked everyone inside long enough to stop the spread, it would just start over from the animals. Hence, the only places that managed to actually minimize spread are islands. You should doubt that China is doing a better job and minimizing spread, it isn't a feasible possibility, that isn't China's fault that it isn't feasible, but their lies are really blatant. While I don't doubt that China is doing a better job than the US and UK, I also don't trust their reported stats for a millisecond. This is a party with a long, ignoble history of denial and data fabrication, particularly with death tolls (incl. for natural disasters).
The risk of transmission from animal to human is already low; the risk of significant spread from animal transmission is minuscule. The vast, vast majority of mammals simply do not cover wide enough geographic territory, and nor do they travel far enough frequently. Look at the transmission rate during enforced lockdowns (including on inland nations), and it almost flatlines. The virus is spread by animals as well as people. Once covid began to spread, even a tiny amount, the end result was always going to be the whole planet getting it. It's a variant of common cold, you're going to get it, you're going to get it repeatedly, and it won't be a big deal because now your immune system knows how to keep it reasonable. There was never any avoiding that end state. The only difference anyone could make is to slow it down to allow people time to prepare for it, and for the most part that happened, even so much as to have multiple vaccines developed shockingly fast.Honestly, there's enough blame to go around. Globally, our representatives and delegates have monumentally failed at their most basic task.
Pfft. Who needs doctors when we have pillow salesmen?!About 3 weeks ago, sorry if it's a repost:
Delta just wants Delta
Specifically which "scientist" came up with the decision.
No. That was dependent on human choices, specifically those of political leaders (at the behest of the ruling classes).Once covid began to spread, even a tiny amount, the end result was always going to be the whole planet getting it.
This does not suprise me. Fauci was following Trump message 90% of the way. It was only small disagreements that lead to his ostracization.Fauci says CDC cut isolation time so people return to work faster

Meet the new boss, same as the old bossThis does not suprise me. Fauci was following Trump message 90% of the way. It was only small disagreements that lead to his ostracization.
I'm going to say this again. Biden has done fuck all. Yes it's not damaging like Trump but Biden ain't interested in helping
You can't possibly believe that covid was easily contained if only the imaginary aristocracy hadn't chosen to make it spread. You cannot be that delusional.No. That was dependent on human choices, specifically those of political leaders (at the behest of the ruling classes).
He's probably realized that the people who hate him are the ones most likely to be infected by the "asymptomatic" as they are also the ones who are likely to still refuse to get the vaccine and decided "well fuck it, if they die they die." They're the ones who want to get back to normal while not getting vaccinated or masking.I was just gonna post this!!!! HAHAHAHA!
Of course now people will say, "well we learn new things all the time and now maybe they've learned that asympomatic people don't spread the virus." Which is one step below admitting that "asympomatic" is just another word for "false-positive".
I like how he says "essential jobs" too. ************, EVERY job is essential to someone trying to put food on their table.
What an extremely depressing story.Pfft. Who needs doctors when we have pillow salesmen?!
China managed it.You can't possibly believe that covid was easily contained if only the imaginary aristocracy hadn't chosen to make it spread. You cannot be that delusional.
Do you know how many infectious diseases and viruses flare up in one country, then burn out or remain relatively localised without becoming a global pandemic? Its a lot. Including coronaviruses a lot more closely related to Covid-19 than the common cold. When the surrounding circumstances aren't so very, very useful for viral transmission and dispersal.Once covid began to spread, even a tiny amount, the end result was always going to be the whole planet getting it. Plenty of mistakes were made, but I don't know anyone deserves the "monumental failure" assessment on a broad scale.
