WOW! What the fuck were they thinking?! They've effectively removed Peter Parker from the MCU. There's no reason to bring him back, no one knows to call on him, and he's decided to just stick to stopping dudes from holding up sandwich shops in New York and most of his best villains have already been used. Plus with Tom Hardy apparently not in the MCU anymore which was a baffling stupid mistake, and Peter completely reneging on his promise to his best friends and deciding that no, with great power comes no responsibilities, this movie ends the Spiderman story, full stop. They're not going to reverse the spell, they're not going to have Peter decide a year or so from now to finally tell MJ and Ned, he's not going to be fighting/teaming up with Venom, Daredevil doesn't remember who he is, and the Avengers have lost a key member, AND any left over villains like Vulture have completely forgotten him. Who is left for him to fight? Kraven the Hunter? Hydro-Man?! Its such a step down to go from an Avenger in the Infinity Saga to just the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, especially because that hasn't been his comic theme for decades. I just remember how awesome it was to see Spiderman in Civil War, and this ending felt like Sony and Marvel taking away our toys saying its been five years, you had your fun, move on, you mustn't dwell, no more of this shared universe stuff. No more Spiderman teaming up with the Avengers, no more Falcon and Winter Soldier sharing cracks with him, no more Happy Hogan being a guardian and wanting Peter to be the next Iron Man, none of that having responsibilities and power, Peter just went with the power, no friends, no family, no one to look after, no responsibilities, just being powerful and betraying the trust of the last 2 people who loved him because he's decided he knows better than them, which was supposed to be the lesson he took away from the whole fiasco, but apparently he's taken the easy life. No more Avengers responsibilities, none of that "when you can do what I can do and the bad things happen, they happen because of you" mentality, none of that "I can't be the friendly neighborhood spiderman if there's no neighborhood". None of the drive that saw him stand up to Iron Man and demand he be allowed to do more than just protect Queens. Nope. None of that. Peter is all but reset as a person and character and they're going to spend the next 3 movies, I dunno, having him fall in love with Black Cat, realizing he has a duty to be more than just selfish, help save the world...and then have Dr. Strange undo it all a second time.
The move ends up feeling like a divorce between parents, and the kids are being split up and Sony is driving across country with Spiderman while Marvel is keeping the Avengers, and they're allowed one more sleep over before the move, and we get to the ending and the move happens and Sony made sure to cut all ties with the Avengers, Spiderman is his kid and he will do all the Uncle Ben's dying in the street he wants to!
