Weirdly enough, I saw a TikTok posted on Facebook about this song and I absolutely love it–it's giving 2012 punk rock era vibes! Worth the listen!
I haven't thought about Skate or Die in YEARS, and the second I saw that title screen, the theme song popped right back into my head, before I hit play even. Off to YouTube for some much needed nostalgia.
I know a lot of people have their issues with the MLP fandom but damn if this isn't a fantastic song. The singer does an amazing job of evoking a real sense of sorrow and despair.
Continuing with sad songs because my randomizer is bring them all out of the woodwork for some reason.
Chester Bennington's suicide was a shock for a lot of people but the outpouring of sympathy and sadness over it and the works put out honoring his memory make me teary eyed. This is a beautiful cover song.

I don't remember how it was that I discovered this VN's soundtrack, but it has some really beautiful songs in it. This one 'Celtic Death Ballad' is my favorite. Apparently this song is also in Heroes of Might and Magic 4 so it's probably some kind of free use song (I say this because the HOMM version has a lot of filters over it which would indicate the creators of the VN didn't rip the tracks from that game).
It is a pleasant feeling to not know what genre to expect throughout an album, yet still hitting all the good vibes and throwing a random sax into the mix when you least expect it cause why the feck not...
If I were to describe it with a word, it would be "mosey.
Ok, take out the woman's nonsensical lyrics and even more nonsensical flailing about, and you've got a dude that needs to drop a solo album. I'd buy it.

Every so often I listen to this again and am still impressed by the brutality of it. First bit of hardcore I bought in a shop in Camden in 1996. It's loveliness brings a tear to my eye. Like the BFG but more deadly.

First encountered this song in the '90s, and despite not listening to it in years, it became inexplicably stuck in my head the past few days. This whole album is brilliant, though; perfect for spacing out. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can't sit on the patio late at night/wee hours of the morning with a drink, my cigs, and this album playing.
That's some good shit right there. Reminds of Sunday nights watching Amp on MTV; easily the fondest memories from my teenaged years. I discovered dozens of artists via that show.
