No no, Im not saying harassment is the same as passion. Im just saying its pretty weird for Jim Sterling of ALL people to call "THE GAMERS" pathetic weird boys for being concerned with video game asses, when they are a contributing author to an entire book solely about video game asses.
Well, it depends; was the ass book solely about the typical tight, female ass, or was it about asses of all shapes and sizes?

Because I think that's the difference. It's not about advocating that videogame characters can't be sexy, it's about not letting 'sexy' be dictated by one group of people (and then have that apply to only the women). And in the case of this video, not letting one group of people dictate how women should look in a videogame (or in real life for that matter). Not that having a female look like a porcelain doll is bad, but that demanding every female character look like one is.

And in Aloy's case it's even more ridiculous since she looks far more attractive in Forbidden West then she did in Zero Dawn, but because of one awkward screenshot and microscopic hairs the usual people were immediately crying conspiracy 'They're making our women ugly on purpose!' And yeah, that was rather pathetic, especially in this case.

So call me picky, but why'd they have to get rid of Aloy's abs?

Like, the girl was already a tad too skinny for a highly skilled hunter/warrior, but after the first game even her abs have disappeared.

And yes, I also just find abs on women hot. So yeah, bummer.

I am almost to the end game now. It is great. And probably the most fun ive had in a while with an open world game. I have a lot of clean up left though and i dont think ill finish by friday...but maybe.
I'm having a lot more fun now that I'm getting a grasp of the new weapon balance - This game really took a mallet to all the exploits of the first game.

Tiny, nearly invisible hairs, but no armpit fuzz at all? BOOOO!!

In all honesty though, this game has the most attractive normal (non-super model) looking faces I've ever seen. Everyone's face is rendered, lite, and animated stupendously.

By the way, is it me or does every character want Aloy's poon in this game? First we have Avad being thirsty as all hell. 'Hey Aloy, be my queen so we can bone every night. -Hey Aloy, I might relinquish my throne to Itamen when he comes of age. Then I'll be a free man, travel the world... and you know, maybe we could bone every night.' Then there's Vanasha being pouty that we're leaving West. Then later you meet Petra who's all 'You're the first thing I've enjoyed looking at in this place'. Good lord!
Look Avad just has good taste, Vanasha I think that is a Freudian slip on your part for a art commission you want to put some money down on no judgement, and Petra is toasted when you see her lets not think to much on that.

Right not too far in just doing the feeling out process. The melee is much improved but you still need to rely on those traps. The humans are much less robbotic and much more expressive. How the early zoids are simple but can still wreck your shit so I get the feeling the game is easing you in to the next major enemies along the way.

But it committed a cardinal sin and introduced a minigame that might make me forget about the rest if they didn't make the smart move progression going along with the main game.

Look Guerrilla, Sony use your capitalism powers to manifest Machine Strike into meat space.

I noticed some people on the Horizon Subreddit got all salty because Dunkey made fun of their favorite game which is honestly kinda funny anyone takes Dunkey seriously enough to get mad at him. Half the shit on his channel is silly shit for the hell of it when he isn't talking about video games.

On a more related note, as someone who loved the plot in HZD and was one of the main reason I remember that, I've noticed nobody really talking about the plot in HFW, which makes me worried there isn't much to speak of. Just something about Hades still being out there(and if you watched the stinger of HZD , then yeah) but then it's more tribal stuff which I never found that compelling in HZD.

I mean, Robo dinos and all that, which is great, but I've already got HZD to hunt Robo dinos to my hearts content.

I guess the question I'm really asking is: Does HFW add anything to the story or Aloy's character to make it worth it on that front?

It's only funny when Dunkey is shitting/indifferent towards a game fans don't like nor care for. When it's a game fans care about, then they get butt hurt and bratty about it. This has always been a problem in the YouTube sphere since 2006.

I guess I'd be mad if my name were Dick Urkel and I was the guy who made Getting over it (to be fair, if I made Getting over it, I'd be mad at myself) but beyond that people get fucking tribalistic about this shit, like making fun of their favorite game is the same as screwing their mom or something. I know this is a thing and has been for a long time but man it gets annoying sometimes.

This problem was somewhat at its worse in the early YT days, when every Tom, Dick, and Jane was trying, and mostly failing or fell out of fashion, trying to copy AVGN and "angry" reviewing. You had (and this still happens today) people flaming either respective channels or the fans going out their way to harass users and fans they didn't like.

Also, you get people that upset that said reviewers likes a game the haters consider "bad" or they despise. Dunkey's LOUS II review is the best example. I disagreed Dunkey on some things, (claiming DMC5 did not have a "memorable" story, He clearly was not paying attention, or did bother to remember the prior games) but he is allowed to enjoy whatever makes him happy. The comment sections became split, but most of the fans stuck with him, even if they did not completely agree with him.

Isnt dunkey's whole gimmick to just shit on things? Like i cant remember the last time he just praised a game, and usually when he is shitting on a game it just comes across like he didnt pay much attention to it or is just bashing for the sake of bashing.

He is playing the youtube game, and he knows that the rage comments will drive engagement and thus views and thus pleasing the algorhythm. It's junk opinions most of the time though imo...oh that is ironic.
