I get to do whatever the hell I like and you get to whine about it.
Well at least you aren't trying to hide your true colors any more. Perhaps someday in the future you'll get to go see the rubble you argued for this last week in person and feel pride over how it showed NATO what's what.

Azov regiment is killing people for trying to escape Mariupol. And they've been killing people in Donetsk for the past eight years. But you don't care about that.

Comrade, you also seem to have forgotten your newest talking points provided by Daddy Putin. If you don't use them, he might never trickle down some glorious communism for us.

Donald Trump was illegally overthrown as President of the US

Better get on uncritically parroting it before your purity score drops too low...
"Here's some bullshit! Now let me add a bunch of my own bullshit!"

Incidentally, I wouldn't be surprised if you thought this was the worst thing Putin's done this week.

You are of course correct, I have never thought about these men once in spite of having direct relation to the country as opposed to the passing knowledge of an American who only cares about the conflict in terms of how it can be used to further his dislike of his own government. This fully justifies the Russian invasion. Surely the destruction and capture of Kherson and the attack on Kharkiv is nothing more than an enormous pincer, and soon after about six more cities have been destroyed and captured the Russian army will have backed the Azov regiment against the sea with nowhere to run.

See, and if there was even the tiniest chance that you sincerely cared about those victims, maybe that's a discussion we could have. You don't though; it's nothing more than performative theatre.

Pro-tip: If you want people to take you seriously about how you believe atrocities are bad, don't write hundreds of posts defending actions like genocide and imperialist invasions first ;)

"Here's some bullshit! Now let me add a bunch of my own bullshit!"
Yes, that has been your approach. At least you're being honest about it now.

I hope you are not being paid in rubles.

I've also seen video, but I don't want to post twitter threads with pictures of dead bodies to this forum.

No. It doesn't. But the invasion doesn't erase the fact that the West wants this conflict as much as Russia does.

Once again I bow to your superior understanding. I had never considered that the west, in an attempt to destroy a single regiment and turn public opinion against a country already widely distrusted, would choose to bait an unstable nuclear power into a full on invasion. Surely the loss of a government that supports western ideals and favors a neutral position is a perfect sacrifice in exchange for this.

And what about the Fascists from Wagner who helped with the pro Russia military coup? What about the civilians they killed? And what about the fact that all the victims in that region are a direct consequence of their coup? But you don't care about that. Because you have never cared about victims. You're just an opportunist abusing victimization to shit on the West at every occasion.

Government gets unconstitutionally overthrown by far-right anti-Russian neo-Nazis with aid of the United States. This is somehow not relevant to the Crimea wanting to leave and Russia facilitating that, nor does it have any relevance to the reason separatists would emerge in the Donbas. All events are their own particular things disconnected from everything else. The Russians are just brazen liars, no other explanation.
Obviously it's all connected to the wider discussion.

But I asked you a simple question, to which all that guff does not provide an answer.

You've advocated that Ukraine pursue a diplomatic approach, in order to gain peace with Russia directly, without NATO. By taking steps to fulfil Russian demands. The question is why they should do that, when Russia will not actually abide by any promise of peace it makes. Agreeing to Russian demands does not provide any security or peace.

Your fanciful one-sided history lesson is not relevant to that simple strategic question, no.

Does anyone know what martial law entails under Russian law? Is this a power the Russian government has?
I dont it matters if the government has the power. That's been pretty irrelevant for a long time

And here the true tankie colors start to fly.

I would suggest thG tankies are just fundamentalist soviets. Which is about as good as a fundamentalist Muslim or Hindu (the latter of which I wouldn't have put here until about 5 years ago.)

I've noticed something with tankies that I've also noticed with those on the real fringes of the far-right. The way they talk about history is very similar. They both reject conventional historiography, sometimes pointing to how we're given simplified narratives for issues that are far more complex. The only problem is, they take this as a form of deliberate deception, and then assume those they were told were the good guys are bad, and vice versa. Tankies do this with the Cold War (see Grover Furr,), and neo-Fascists do it with WWII (David Irving).
