With so many hot takes these days, and the writers being so adamant about how right they are and treating the gamers as bunch of idiots, I can't tell if this was a sarcasm or being serious
Well, according to that logic, we can't use Babylon's Fall's 308 average concurrent players to judge it, and so therefore it must be a fantastic game and we should all buy it.

They still exist, you just have to take the extra effort to find them. Or just check the AA and Indie circuit. I got plenty of devs that just want to make good games. Devs for days.
I feel like there was an ocean of generic ones and only handful of great ones. But even the generic ones were still better than the stuff we get today.
