I do sometimes wonder just how old bawdy human humour would look to aliens we become friends with.
I have four older friends (guys in the 70s range of age) I've known for a few years. All are golf enthusiasts; they watch every tournament and even do fantasy leagues. For years, they've gone golfing on Sundays at a small 9-hole, par 3 course nearby. I've heard a lot of their stories. Well, yesterday, my girlfriend invited ourselves to tag along. We're both horrible golfers, and I suggested we might slow the group down and mar their traditional get-together, but she insisted. Turns out, they're ALL horrible golfers. I don't think a single shot wasn't followed up by "oh shit" as balls were shanked right and left if they managed to travel more that 10 feet. We had a lot of fun. Then we all came back to our house, drank orange fizzes (vodka, Sunny D and half-n-half blended into a smoothie) and listened to a bunch of their old war stories [we've heard a thousand times] while they smoked a joint. It was a great day. Golf might be the only sport that's more fun when you're terrible at it.
