Even though the movie was likely going to turn out bad for a whole host of other reasons, losing Depp was really crippling for it. His presence would have at least lifted the movie from an F to a D. Still bad, but at least better
Honestly, I don’t think it would. Depp’s Grindelwald doesn’t seem like the kind of handsome and magnetic man that would fascinate someone of Albus Dumbledore’s caliber. Madds Mikelson on the other hand, strikes me as a much more plausible vessel for that.

Besides, the movies are uniformly garbage and the ever increasing bullshit that surrounds Potter and friends is not the sort of baggage Johnny needs to be carrying around.

??? Depp has the kind of magnetism that you need to sell all that political stuff though, which is a more important (unfortunately) part of the movie. I see why people would flock to Depp's Grindelwald. Mickelson isn't a bad actor but he doesn't have the kind of charisma and intensity needed to pull off that role.

Movies should have just been about Newt and going to exotic places in the wizarding world and seeing the many unique magical creatures. The only good part of the last movie was when Newt is saving his brother and interacting with the crawdad things. *sigh* Another example of how save the world plots can shove off.

Depp's image was already circling the drain before Heard though. He was pretty much known as the guy who gets miscast in movies where he wears a stupid hat (and possibly does a bad Deppish accent). I think the consensus to him being in the first Fantastc Beasts movie was just 'well, it's Depp I guess'. He was pretty much how we view Jared Leto now.

Honestly have haven't seen much of his movies lately but I liked him when he at least pretended to act and not just playing a different variation of Jack Sparrow in a different costume, which it feels like that's all he's done for the last decade or so.

What does Capcom need to look at?
Why is no one at the company looking at the successes of Jurassic World? They should have rebooted Dino Crisis right after Jurassic World made all that money (1.7 billion) seven years ago. Instead they keep churning out another zombie game every year or two. Outside of Resident Evil, zombies aren't even that popular anymore. When was the last time a zombie movie sold like Night of the Living Dead against its low budget?

World War Z, Zombie Army 4, Days Gone, Last of Us Part II (gag!), and House of the Dead would like words with you. You're not exactly wrong, but there is still plenty of people playing zombie games. It's the TV and movies, where zombies are nowhere near as rampant as they used to be in the late 2000s and early to mid 2010s.

The last movie I liked him in was Rango, but that was also the first movie I liked him in since Sleepy Hollow.

I'm pretty sure even The Walking Dead still has some popularity.

Walking Dead became its own entity since the mid 2010s. That franchise has become the exception and not the rule.

Kind of insane when considering it’s one of the most boring “zombie” shows out there. Basically a soap opera with zombies most of the time, and it’s tough to get attached to most of the characters since there’s so damn many of them. Idk how much the comics even have to do with it at this point, or how much they ever did with its popularity.

I keep hearing it’s ending soon but it never seems like it actually will. I stopped watching after what’s her name shaved head chic that Negan was afraid of (imdb’ing…oh, Alpha) hung those people in the field. So that would be season 9.

Ok good, looks like it’ll wrap this year. Might get back into it since it’s only a couple seasons. Long seasons though. I like the 10 episode format that most streaming and premium channels use.

I stopped caring after a second season, when I realized how shitty most of the characters are, and that it was just one form of boring misery after another.

Whoops.
I'm definitely not seeing The Flash movie now. Not worth it.
