All this talk of the martial arts community reminds me of a pair of bad movies from the 80's, people who watch RLM will know them. Twin Dragon Encounter and Dragon Hunt. The films are bad, but the story behind them neatly fits in this conversation. The films were made by a pair of competitive martial artists who at the time were lobbying the Ontario government in some way to sanction professional fight tournaments, but were largely unsuccessful.

With that backstory in, we have a pair of brothers who are angry at the local government for not letting them beat people up for money outside of a hockey rink who then write a movie where they are the baddest of bad asses, the coolest dudes you could know and the manliest of men to ever man a man. You watch these movies and they come off like they were written by insecure 11 year olds, but if you know your toxic MMA dudebro, these 2 predate them by at least 7 years. And certainly predate the modern people like Tate. But there are some telltale giveaways. For example the first movie hinges on them having hot and beautiful girlfriends who they then have to rescue. But they start the movie by basically blowing them off. They themselves wrote the girls begging to spend time with them and the brothers instead spend their time chopping wood gazing into each other's eyes or riding on the other's lap on a 4 wheeler hunting. Probably the silliest moment of this is when the girlfriends get kidnapped (while the two are out hunting ignoring them, natch), they come back and note they're missing to a dramatic musical sting. They then go inside their cabin to find the bad guys have stolen a poster of the brothers, which gets a stronger reaction and bigger musical sting than the girlfriends did. The second movie of course is about the villains fawning over how amazing the brothers are and the girls betraying them because women can't be trusted.

In other news though.

I mean, they gave Superman the power of "super-mathematics".

Where do you draw the line after that?
Wait, that made Superman a Mentat?

Seriously Tucker, there's M&M porn on the internet(at least I assume there is, since there's porn of pretty much everything else). Just go jerk off like a normal person and stop telling us all your weird fetish because nobody fucking cares if Green gets you hard.

I legit can't tell if he's being serious or not.

Then again, I can't take anyone who deems themselves an "alpha male" remotely seriously. Its a joke though I'm not sure he's aware of it.

'me too' was the disillusioned women moment, and that's faced a lot of ridicule and pushback and is equated with 'wokeness'.
I have never seen "me too" equated with "wokeness". Quite the contrary, "me too" is evidence of the gross hypocrisy of the "woke". When celebrities took part in #MeToo, they saw themselves as leading a movement that would expose the scale of sexual abuse everywhere, but the accidental result was exposing the scale of sexual assault in specifically Hollywood, in specifically the circles that condescend from their positions of power over those they see as less socially moral.

I assume you're referring to Intuit, right?
No. Trans men use tampons. My ex girlfriend used tampons and this meant there was a place I could get them for her.

This only helps people and hurts no one. If you take issue with this then you're just scum because the only thing it does is help people you don't like.

The first title sounds like they were ripping off Double Dragon and were trying to work around it. Everything about these two movies makes the official Double Dragon movie look like a work of art. At least the 1994 Double Dragon movie has some laughs or and something entertaining. This looks like somebody's bad self inserts fanfic. Which you have accurately described and pointed out. Sounds like those two brothers never went anywhere else in life after those two movies.

  1. It's Rule 34, there's porn of everything. Everything.
  2. Tucker Carlson ain't anywhere near close to normal. I know you're not flying that, I just wanted to say that.
  3. He's nothing special for having a Green M&M getting him hard. People have been doing that since the early 2000s. It just makes the douchebag all the more pathetic.
He's awfully whiny for a self-professed "alpha male".

Talking seriously about "alpha" and "beta" males is a bit like sticking a post-it on your forehead that says "I am a twat".
Just another biatch-in-a-boxstand. This is how all these "alpha & sigma" assholes see themselves.

That wasn't the point though. The point was "actual problems".

Intuit is an online company, these facilities are for employees. The people know each other. They aren't bringing their girlfriends in. They are prepared to be there for 8 hours at a time frequently. The "problem" being solved is the imaginary scenario where a trans man works there, is caught unprepared by a period at work despite being there 40 hours a week, is unwilling to enter the women's restroom at work, and uses tampons as their feminine hygiene product of choice in specifically the size provided.

And they know if they have an employee that could possibly fit those criteria. So, the options are:

A) This is vacuous virtue signaling with a literal bow on it.
B) One specific employee complained they weren't getting free tampons.

Which of those is an actual problem?

It still helps more than zero people and hurts nobody. There is literally nothing to be upset about by this. I'm not going to bother arguing with you. I already know how much you hate queer people. Also of you don't believe getting caught unprepared with a period at work is a thing that happens very fucking regularly then you really are showing your ignorance and willingness to jump straight to condemnation without even considering compassion. Just like the good catholic you are. Have the day you deserve.

...that wasn't an "accidental" result. Dude, exposing the preponderance of sexual assault in Hollywood, in their circles, was explicitly and specifically the aim.

I don't even quite know how someone can miss the point of what they were trying to do so egregiously. They were very explicit about it.

Well, unfortunately, it's kind of the territory, because the manosphere loves machismo.

If deep down a man feels like a loser, has been bullied, can't get a girlfriend, he may latch onto traditional, crude masculine stereotypes of muscles because they readily represent male strength and beauty. So if a load of the manosphere are looking at getting ripped, algorithms are going to direct men interested in fitness and strength to the manosphere in return because they will have found an association. I'm pretty sure MMA is a major source of this crap too for the same reason, except with that extra dollop of violence for those who fantasise about kicking the crap out people they hate. It's certainly no surprise Tate emerged from that sort of background.
Yeah, it all kind of sucks. The gym is my happy place (well, after my shed but it's too cold out there at the moment), but that feels entirely contingent on me not interacting with anyone there (it's fine, I wear massive headphones). I'm sure most of them are fine people too, but I don't want to risk it being ruined by the inevitable colossal tosser, at least one of which, the internet has revealed to me, will be lurking around every corner.

Conservatism?

The mindset being 'if it slightly irks me but benefits thousands of people, then my being irked weighs heavier'. And these are the same people who complain about others being snowflakes.

Also nothing tstorm ever says will convince me that he didn't type that thinking tampon size refers to the actual diameter of the tampon. He can argue all he wants but that Catholic sex ed speaks for itself.
