Funny enough, that FBI agent who was just arrested for being on the Russian take? Yeah he was the guy at the New York field office who told Director Commy he had found new evidence of the Clinton emails and threatened to leak to the press if the case wasn't reopened.

As to Rick and Morty, eh, easy come, easy go. I stopped watching like season 2, it just became insufferable. Maybe Im getting soft in my old age, but bad people doing bad things and getting away with it just isn't fun for me. Its why I can't stand Velma or Wednesday.
I mostly just thought it was a good excuse for the Family Guy Muppets clip. And also thinking about how much money that move has likely cost Adult Swim, rather than waiting for the courts to do their thing. I'd imagine that they'd probably be in a better place as far as severing a 7-season contract if he's convicted rather than if he's just been accused of one thing and charged with another.

Speaking of "entertainers" in legal trouble, porn star Mercedes Carerra has had her trial date moved...again. She's now scheduled to see trial on Feb 4, on the 4 year anniversary of her arrest. Her and her 2nd husband were accused of molesting her daughter and charged with that and weapons charges regarding guns found on the property when they were arrested. The gun charges were later dropped.

You know, for someone who's all about masculinity, he sure gives off some intense "where the fuck is your chin" vibes.
"Chinless wonder" - although that traditionally refers to ineffectual British upper classes.

Mostly, the vibes I get off him is that he's really quite thick. Which makes me quite surprised that he's managed to be so successful. I'm aware that he's hardly pitching to the intellectual elites, but even those people usually need a certain amount of savvy. Maybe he's basically the front man, and his brother or someone else is the brains.

Porn stars in general just don't have good mental health. Maybe because of that, they're easier to get naked, or maybe the porn industry preys on easily manipulated people. I remember reading the ex-pornstar Piper Perri got into porn to pay for legal fees for a lawyer after her ex-boyfriend murdered their child. Just really fucked up shit.

Unrelated but I saw this, so expect this to be BIG in the conservative echochamber: https://nypost.com/2023/01/20/couple-pimped-their-adopted-sons-out-to-pedophile-ring-report/
Apparently some piece of shit monsters adopted some children, molested them, and shared them with other pedos in giant gangrapes. And they happen to be gay too, so que the "gays = pedos" people again.

Agreed. Not wanting to be too judgemental, but I think getting into the (hard) porn industry is almost inherently an indicator of a person being vulnerable or screwed up. And once they're in, it's unlikely to go anywhere but downhill. I'm not convinced a lot of glamour models are that stable and secure either, although they probably fare far better.

No, you're not getting soft. You are strengthening your resolve and looking the good in humanity. I stopped after Season 3, because of me being sick and tired of Rick's assholerly, and the bad fans who won't stop praising him. Plus, Justin had moments where he and some of the other writers fell in love with Rick too much. Not to mention, Beth can go fuck herself even harder. Before anyone starts, I know she did in the most recent season.

I still have to finish Wednesday.

Also, this is going to be very bad for Rick and Morty as a show, since Roiland voiced several minor characters including but not limited to Mr. Frundles, Mr. Always Wants to be Hunted, Glar, the Truth Tortoise, Noob-Noob, the Eyeholes Man, Jan Michael Vincent, Stealy, Taddy Mason, Mr. Meeseeks, Mr. Poopybutthole and of course last and thus least importantly of all Rick and Morty.
And nothing of value was lost. The idiotic and sociopathic part of the fan-base will just have to live with their reruns again and again. Sucks to be them.

EDIT: This sick fuck has been sexting and trying to get into teenagers pants since 2015 and probably further back. I feel for the victims and pray for the best, and for them to have some form of peace.

There is a part of me that I am glad I stopped watching the show early on.

Arguably, Anthony Weiner sexting an underage girl cost Hillary Clinton the election...
Literally 2023 and people are still willing to blame a Congressman's dick pic for Hillary's 2016 loss, rather than the literally everything her own campaign did wrong to cost herself the election against a handpicked opponent who happened to be Donald J. Trump.

Given how close it was, if a single aspect of the perfect clusterfuck had turned out differently, she definitely could have won.

Of course, her own myriad failings (and those of the DNC) are the reason it was that close to begin with...

I'm relatively sure it was elsewhere I had this particular rant about "Hillary lost because of everything but Hillary and her campaign!", but at the end of the day one of the major determinants of her loss was actually...spoilered for the faint of heart, or weak of stomach:

RAIN.

That, at least, is an actual phenomenon with scientific data recorded over the course of years' worth of election cycles. And entirely plausible, given that it did in fact rain in key swing state precincts on 2016's election day. Of course, it doesn't have the pizzazz as blaming Rooskie double secret double agents and piss-soaked mattresses, so you know, whatever.

This is MURICA. We don't do no stinkin' root cause analysis around here.

I got through the first episode and just couldn't stand it. Her character is just so infuriating. Its not that she's a Mary-Sue, Wednesday Adams is well known for being very smart and competent in what she chooses to do. The show feels like a 90s show set in the 70s. The "outcast" girl just wears black and reads Poe and Lovecraft, while being traditionally attractive, but she's just such a *****. And just continuously gets away with it, and its written off as quirky. I think I said it on the non-movies review thread, but Wednesday is the personification of r/NotLikeOtherGirls.

My family are Addams Family addicts; especially my mom, but my dad keeps forgetting the show exists. They'll touch anything. My brother already finished the series, and he loves it. I saw the first two episodes, and so far, I am liking it. She does get called out on her bitchiness several times in those episodes. I still have to see the rest, but I don't find it aggravating like in R&M, Drawn Together, Walking Dead, or any of failed South Park clones on Comedy Central. I understand your opinion on the matter.

I generally like Rick and Morty

That being said, Rick is an asshole who is magically always right and magically have the right tool in his tool belt (that doesn't exist, so where the fuck is he pulling them from?) Every. Goddam.Time. There was even shark repellent. You wanna call something Mary Sue, call that Mary Sue because it makes any stakes pointless. And fucks with his family to everyone's detriment just to prove how much better he is

He's alcoholic Batman.

I like watching Batman. And Rick. But they are not worthy of any hero worship

Sorry, forgot to add something about the Roiland of it all

If Rick and Morty survives, that's great. It is also a TV show. It surviving or not doesn't hurt any consumer. I hope the rest of the folks with Harmon are going to be looked after.

I'll note Harmon did dodgy stuff during his Community days. But he also fessee up and stated that he's trying to be better. (I've always wondered why Harmon was fired and I guess that is why). It sure looks like Roiland learnt nothing off that situation

Exactly why I stopped watching and said fuck him and everything. The only thing I want is for Morty and Summer to be better people and parents than either Rick, Jerry, and especially Beth. How the fuck do you be a worse parent/grandparent than Kratos (I appreciate the character development he went through in the Norse saga), Dr. Curien, William Birkin, Gendo, En Tao, or even fucking Endeavor?!

At least most versions of Batman care about people around them, close to them, and not just themselves. He cares enough to help people, even other villains. Some versions can be rough and have sticks up their asses at times, but they fucking care!

The Quartering got banned from Twitter and is now turning on his 'free speech' friends for betraying him

And the Crowder/ Daily Wire thing blaming each other for being against free speech...

Then we got Fox telling us that the new Xbox update is woke and indoctrinating our children

Anyone who thinks Rick is always right is colossally missing the point, though. He's repeatedly shown to be a self-obsessed, self-defeating, hypocritical shit. And that's not an unintended interpretation; it's right there in front and centre.
