By the way, what the hell happened to the second Verdugo? He's very much in the cutscenes besides Salazar, but he no longer gets absorbed in the Salazar Boss fight like in the original, and you only still fight the one in the liquid nitrogen area, so where does the second one go? I was waiting for him to maybe show up again later on the island, but he never does. He just vanishes from the game.

It's implied Ada killed the second Verdugo, off screen, in a throwaway conversation. Obviously, you're going to fight it in her DLC.

Oh, and people complaining Ashley isn't as sexualized as she once was must not have played very far into the remake, because once that jacket comes off those ballistics are back with a vengeance. Someone at Capcom really put some effort in..

There's a reason why I showed that screen shot in the Steam comments last week. You're always going to have dumb ass gamers bitching about any changes; especially when they never got past the first few chapters or are only relying on their dumb ass buddies and online assholes for their source of information.

The real deal starts at 20 second though, IMO.

I finished my NG+ plus. An upgraded magnum at near full power turns the final boss into a near joke. Glad I held off on using it until the end.

Even not fully upgraded the magnum turned Krauser into a little b*tch. His final monster form atleast. I think I shot him twice in the leg with the Broken Butterfly with a follow up melee attack. And I was like 'better not waste all my magnum ammo this early into the fight', I switched to my shotgun (Striker), shot at his legs again and to my disbelief his death scene triggered. I had a much harder time with his regular human form.

Similar situation. I used two Magnum bullets with a power level of 3, and shot his legs with a max power LG-5 w/the 5x penetration. Ate at his health super fast.

It really bums me out that they nerved some of the best exclussive gun upgrades. The Bolt-Action Rifle no longer goes to 30 power, the Red9's power was nerfed to be pretty much equel to the Blacktail, and the Striker no longer gets the 100 shells.

I'm glad I kept the default pistol, Silver Fang. That handgun is so overpowered at maximum upgrade. It can one shot or two shot the bug enemies. For my third playthrough, I will trade it in for the Punisher see how that goes. You can at least attach a laser site to it. For some reason the Black Tail does not allowed this. The Red 9 I get why it doesn't have a laser sight. As for the Striker: while I didn't have any complaints about the exclusive upgrade change, I can see why that would be a problem. Another change I heard people don't like is how the TMP works. It is actually worse in performance or damage now, and you're better off just getting the LG-5. While the LG-5 may have a slower fire rate, you can put scopes on it and it's way more accurate.

It certainly is the coolest looking handgun. With the exclussive upgrade (and fully upgraded) it goes fucking wild on villagers on NG+. I also keep forgetting it can shoot through wooden shields.

And the LG-5 has penetration. Combined with the heat vision scope it'll probably work wonders on the Regenerators. Shame it can only fire in a 3-round burst, but whadda ya gonna do.

I can confirm that the LG-5 works way better with the thermoscope on Regenerators, than the Stingray. I get more consistent hits. What doesn't help is that Regenerators got a buff where they move way faster than they did in the original. Their movement patterns are way more erratic than they have any right to be.
