So in the Netherlands there's a hub bub about a trans woman in womens sports.

Two cis women resigned in protest because they believe a "biological male" has an advantage.... in darts.

People say that cis women are at a disadvantage at chess.

One wonders, though, if the people complaining were near the top anyway. Like that whiny skateboarder who was beaten by a trans woman, who was beaten by several cis women.

One of the cis women who resigned is 50 years old, and the trans woman looks to be in her late 20's at the oldest, but is probably early 20's. This huge age difference in this competitive sport apparently wasn't an issue, but her being a "biological male" is.

Oh, by the way, she's not transphobic though, she made that clear. She just doesn't want to play darts against a transwoman and quit for that specific reason... but she's really not transphobic.

Programmes featuring Alan Titchmarsh, the British gardener & broadcaster, have also been shown in North Korea since 2022. They regularly broadcast 'politically neutral' foreign programming.

Though Alan's denim jeans are blurred, because jeans are illegal in North Korea, as a symbol of US Imperialism.

Random bit of trivia, in the Vietnam War, US Navy Seals often wore civilian blue jeans, finding them more durable than the trousers that were issued.

That's stupid and NK has no room to talk.

So she's a punk ass biatch passed her prime. Got it.

Honestly though, those takes are so hilariously shit that it actually makes it really, transparently obvious how much of right wing youtube is actually just a grift to farm outrage clicks or undisclosed donations from right-wing political organizations.
I'm surprised these assholes haven't touched the River City Girls games, considering these are spin-off games from a Western Studio based off a Japanese franchise, and that both games have a lot more dark-skinned and black characters. At least two minor characters had their race changed or became half black, half Japanese. Then again, RCG has it take place in River City, instead of Japan, and it's one of those tropes where the place might as well be called Japanimerica. The franchise probably too obscure for these dumb fucks to notice.

The fact that audiences are stupid enough to watch it suggests that some people out there probably do believe this shit, but I'm going to be charitable to humanity and say those people are mostly children.
They're are mostly man-children with a few women-children thrown in-between.

I don't think healthy adults could actually believe stuff like this.
Yes, the assholes falling for this are mentally unhealthy and have nothing better to do in life, and drag everyone to level instead of improving themselves.

I wonder if he ever gets seriously wounded whether he'll refuse stitches as well. Afterall, stitches only compromise the body's immunity to not bleed.
During WW2, the US used to segregate donor blood by race. I really hope that people could choose to have blood from a different race if the alternative was bleeding to death.

Let him get the stitches, but force the doctors to not wear masks during the surgery. Something something God's perfect breathing system something something.
Yeah, Joseph Lister with his cleanliness and antiseptic, pah!

(Which is less than 150 years old, actually, IIRC)

If it makes you feel any better, I noticed and it mildly annoyed me. But I've been a fan of the franchise since I was a kid and got River City Ransom on my NES.

There are two ways to do Japanimerica, and it really comes down to the localizers. You either do it badly and then pretend it never happened and fix it next time, or you at first do it so bad it's wraps around to become funny and then double down on it hard for localized entries in the franchise henceforth but do so aware and in on the joke. Now eat your hamburgers, Apollo.

Don't know why you would be. We're talking about characters that are so obscure that unless you're a hardcore Kunio-Kun (the actual Japanese titles from the NES and SNES days), you wouldn't know their race was changed unless you knew the names or check the character trope page. And I can already tell you that a majority of the hardcore super fans don't care. They changed the race of Yellow Signal from black to white for streets rage 4 and I just shrugged my shoulders and it was like okay. Heck, I always assumed he was white with a dark tan, due to the color palette of the Sega Genesis being iffy at times.

It's a good thing this version of River City is basically an alternate universe, so they can get away with it. Though both games are canon to Double Dragon Neon. It's basically an Ultimate Universe. Combining different aspects from both franchises or other franchises and characters from Techno's games.

The game is Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.
The fuck heads just now realize this game is coming out soon? This game got announced last year, and now they notice and try to scape goat the game by blaming SBI? When the game was already long I development? Typical bitches. Anything with diversity they'll just blame Sweet Baby Inc, regardless if they are involved or not. These people don't matter in the long run. They were never going to buy to begin with. I want this game to succeed so I can see imbeciles cry.

Mmmhhmmm. DEI was what made a bridge fall
Clearly her "diversity rays" loaded into the bridge over time, and blinded the helmsman, who then couldn't see the bridge anymore... or mistook the pillars for a +50 point target.

Hm, but on the other side: Maybe the boring never-ending inclusion meetings bored the harbour-engineers so much that they forgot to plan better protection for the pillars?

Or God himself broke the rudder, to ram the heathen-administrated bridge? We all know that god works in mysterious ways.

It COULD somehow be her fault, so let's insinuate in that direction.

Whatever the cause, it remains a fact that if Lyman was there that night, it would've swam out into the Patapsco and singlehandedly halted all 100.000 tons of that freighter dead before it could hit the bridge, through sheer ... well, I don't know what, but sheer something!

In case not known yet, was power failure but ship's crew issued mayday warning early enough for authorities to limit bridge traffic

BALTIMORE (AP) — A container ship lost power and rammed into a major bridge in Baltimore early Tuesday, causing it to snap and plunge into the river below. Several vehicles fell into the chilly waters, and rescuers searched for survivors.

The operators of the ship issued a mayday call moments before the crash that took down the Francis Scott Key Bridge, enabling authorities to limit vehicle traffic on the span, Maryland’s governor said.

The ship crashed into one of the bridge’s supports, causing the structure to break apart like a toy. It tumbled into the water in a matter of seconds — a shocking spectacle that was captured on video and posted on social media. The vessel caught fire, and thick, black smoke billowed out of it.

READ MORE: Key Bridge is not the first bridge collapse in the U.S. from a ship collision
The crash happened long before the busy morning commute in what one official called a “developing mass casualty event.” Two people were rescued, and it was not clear how many more might be in the waters of the busy harbor near a key port.

“Never would you think that you would see, physically see, the Key Bridge tumble down like that. It looked like something out of an action movie,” said Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, calling it “an unthinkable tragedy.”

Fire Chief James Wallace said authorities “may be looking for upwards of seven people” but said that number could change and other officials wouldn’t give figures. It was not clear if the two rescued were included in the seven cited by the fire chief.

Authorities said a crew of unknown size was working on the bridge at the time of the collapse and that sonar had detected cars in the water, which is about 50 feet (15 meters) deep. The water temperature was about 47 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius) before dawn Tuesday, according to a buoy that collects data for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Earlier, Kevin Cartwright, director of communications for the Baltimore Fire Department, told The Associated Press that several vehicles were on the bridge at the time of the collapse, including one the size of a tractor-trailer truck. The bridge came down in the middle of night when traffic would be lighter than during the day when thousands of cars traverse the span.

Cartwright called the collapse a “developing mass casualty event,” though he didn’t know at the time how many people were affected.

Synergy Marine Group — which owns and manages the ship, called the Dali — confirmed the vessel hit a pillar of the bridge at about 1:30 a.m. while in control of one or more pilots, who are local specialists who help navigate vessels safely into ports.

It said all crew members, including the two pilots on board, were accounted for and there were no reports of any injuries.

As the sun rose Tuesday, jagged remnants of the bridge were illuminated jutting up from the waters surface. The on-ramp ended abruptly where the span once began.

Cartwright said that some cargo appeared to be dangling from the bridge, which spans the Patapsco River at the entrance to a busy harbor. The river leads to the Port of Baltimore, a major hub for shipping on the East Coast. Opened in 1977, the bridge is named for the writer of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Maryland Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld said all vessel traffic into and out of the port would be suspended until further notice, though the facility was still open to trucks.

Gov. Wes Moore declared a state of emergency and said he was working to get federal resources deployed. The FBI was on the scene, but said there was no credible information to suggest terrorism. President Joe Biden was briefed.

The Dali was headed from Baltimore to Colombo, Sri Lanka, and flying under a Singapore flag, according to data from Marine Traffic. The container ship is about 985 feet (300 meters) long and about 157 feet (48 meters) wide, according to the website.

Danish shipping giant Maersk said it had chartered the vessel, which was carrying its customers’ cargo. No Maersk crew and personnel were on board. The collapse caused Maersk share at the Nasdaq Copenhagen to plummet 2 percent in early Tuesday trading.

In 2001, a freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed in a tunnel in downtown Baltimore and caught fire, spewing black smoke into surrounding neighborhoods and forcing officials to temporarily close all major roads into the city.

Is extremely intriguing how many of the daily wire and other reactionary RW pundits react to even the mere mention of Sam Seder like they're vampires hissing at garlic-covered crosses every time. It's legitimately their kryptonite, we should pressure them more to debate him, at all opportunities.

JP ain't sounding so composed in debate these days also lol. Don't let the banger "medicine kills more ppl than it saves" pass you by, whatever you do. 👌🤌

We take a look at a recent conversation between Jordan Peterson and the streamer Steven Bonnell (AKA Destiny) and use the opportunity to reflect on Jordan's journey as a public intellectual and guru.

We consider how his stances have changed, whether he is more extreme now than when he emerged or if it is just his presentation style that has shifted. Along the way, we look at his demon-infested understanding of the COVID-19 vaccines, his climate change denialism, and address the unresolved question of the ages: Were the Nazis actually right-wing?
