Hey UK, you guys alright?
No.

The country got taken over by some posh dilettante twats in 2010 who proceeded to make the country poorer and with worse public services, got re-elected in 2015 and hammered our economic and political status by getting us voted out of the EU. Then a very unpopular woman replaced the posh twats and I guess tried to do a proper job, narrowly squeaked an election win (2017), but was fatally undermined by a bunch of posh, lying twats who then took over from her and did even more damage but got elected again in 2019 because the public found the chief posh, lying twat amusing. He then made a mess of dealing with covid and caused a load more damage but had to resign and was replaced a lunatic woman who crashed the financial markets, in turn then replaced by a posh billionaire twat barely ruling because he's at the whim of the crazy, chaotic, intolerant, increasingly extreme and authoritarian party. Not that he's ruling anyway because his party is utterly in the sewer in terms of popularity, and they're just clinging on with functionally useless but headline-grabbing policies (like, sending people to Rwanda) in the hope they can stink only slightly less come the inevitable crushing election defeat later this year.

So no, things aren't alright. But at least there's some light on the horizon.

Hey UK, you guys alright?

Edit:

I didn't know about the above until today, but I am not the Prime minister of a G7 country or a former US president.
Unfortunately, they are following Australia's lead here where we are pretending doing the same thing 'solved' the border crisis.

And if you have been following recent events here (I don't know why you would): 1. A refugee that was personally released by the previous conservative government under this scheme has done a crime. So even Law and OrderTM Conservative get it wrong and 2. These policies were found unconstitutional by the high court (and so to in the UK), forcing a bunch of refugees into the country.

It's specifically why both Australia and the Uk want to get rid of Human Rights Bills

Unfortunately, this specific studio has to say this as they have had numerous cancelling campaigns flooding their studios over the last few years so much so that all female artists and quite a few male ones have been fired. Eg. One campaign was about a character new uniform changing from a bikini to a skin tight wetsuit. The wet suit was 'not sexy' enough so that means woke. If they don't bow down to the patriarchy, young men will just attack them again.

If we're talking historical accuracy in regards to Assassin's Creed: Shadows or any modern samurai fiction, it's funny no one ever complains about the main character never having the proper hairstyle.

Almost like the samurai in these stories aren't about being historically accurate, but just about looking cool. And having a bald spot on the top of your head isn't cool no matter how accurate it might be to the samurai look. Even Japan whom you'd think would stick close to their own history on this would rather not do the chonmage topknot on their hero characters. Side characters, sure, but the attractive male lead... no.

Also, there was a lot of gayness within samurai culture from what I've heard. Samurai Shamploo even had a whole episode about it. Wonder if reactionaries would celebrate that bit of historical accuracy.

That hairstyle was not required and also not expected from ronin. Which is exactly a group featured a lot in samurai fiction. Also it is mostly Edo period anyway.

But otherwise, yes.

Of course there was. Firstly, IIRC Japan was relatively tolerant of homosexuality (at least by medieval European/Middle-Eastern standards) and it was an accepted practice, at least in certain forms and situations.

Secondly, what does anyone think likely to happen when you have men bonding closely together in tightly knit orders and situations? Some of that intimacy is likely to drift into the romantic/sexual.

Nobunaga's retainer who's the only black dude in a hundred miles will certainly have an easier time blending into crowds, though. /s
Blending in the crowd seems to be the woman's job though while Yasuke seems to be taking more after the Bayak/Kassandra

Cops dying from their own stupidity yet being incorrectly memorialised as heroic deaths in the line of duty, such as the cop who wanted his cop buddy to shoot him with a sort of blank but both forgot they swapped their real weapons back to their holsters, another cop who was shot in the dick by his cop partner while he was beating some other cop's 2 dogs at the house they were asked to search from a false alarm, and so on. trump voice: 'You hate to see it, folks, you really do.'

Molly, Mia, and Shereen celebrate National Police Week by deconstructing some of the myths about line of duty deaths and sharing the stories of several of the officers being honored this week.

What's it on about tho, cuz I'm seeing double.
There are no particularly compelling grounds to remove her portrait, certainly not unless they also advocate removing all the other portraits that artist painted which are similar in style.

Otherwise, deciding hers alone should be withdrawn is just a rich person attempting to dictate how anyone is allowed to picture them, for which I am not remotely sympathetic.

Sure but did you see how that Labour leader ate a sandwitch in 2010? You can't have people like that run the country!

John Oliver discusses how opioid settlements are being spent in the US, why there’s still time to make sure they’re spent in better ways, and the Taylor Swift metric for seriousness.
The early Melania line got a chuckle, before the rest of reality caught up once more.

From "America's Mayor" to "America's Least Wanted". The Trump Toxin did so much damage....
Its still weird that Rudy allowed his reputation to fall like that. And for what? Its not like Trump treated him well. For all his self destruction Rudy didn't get an official post in the government nor did he actually get paid for ruining himself.
