I hope it has an open world, crafting, and RPG mechanics now. That's what I've always felt Silent Hill needed.
Same here. I stopped caring about camera angles the moment over the shoulder got started. If you all want classic camera angles that badly then either to keep playing the old games you already own, or Start playing all of the indie survival horror games that uses them. Stop automatically expecting and assuming larger gaming companies or AAA Companies to use them as if were the old days again. It would be nice to have a classic cam option, since there’s a lot of nostalgia here, but not gonna fuss if there isn’t one. The remake camera makes sense here like with the RE Remakes because it helps tie the cinematics and gameplay together better.
I know that it's sarcasm, but that's what Evil Within 2 does, minus the RPG mechanics and having a much smaller semi-open world. With lots of detail, good content, and rewarding side quests that not only give you bonuses for taking bigger risk, but also has extra story details, expand lore, and gives out extra character moments or development.I hope it has an open world, crafting, and RPG mechanics now. That's what I've always felt Silent Hill needed.
You're saying that, but I'd love a Silent Hill that plays a bit like Deadly Premonition, if it had actual production values. Like, you know, one set in Silent Hill as regular people see it, a sleepy lakeside town that you can explore freely, and only occasionally slips into its spooky alternate versions.I hope it has an open world, crafting, and RPG mechanics now. I do know for certain the SH2 Remake has no crafting and more or less plays like the og where you explore the town. The game is still linear, but open ended and certain things are changed around to make the exploration engaging and unique according to people who have played the game or are finishing up for their review. You're saying that, but I'd love a Silent Hill that plays a bit like Deadly Premonition, if it had actual production values. Yeah, I know, not this one in particular, just, like, a hypothetical future Silent Hill game.I do know for certain the SH2 Remake has no crafting and more or less plays like the og where you explore the town. That or Evil Within 2.Yeah, I know, not this one in particular, just, like, a hypothetical future Silent Hill game.
You can do it. You just gotta believe! You Platinumed TLOUS2, this should be a walk through the sunflower fields for you.6 playthroughs for the platinum. Nope. No. Not a chance in hill.
Only had to play that twice. Once if I used a guide. Sh2 is SIX playthroughs. Six!You can do it. You just gotta believe! You Platinumed TLOUS2, this should be a walk through the sunflower fields for you.
TLOUS2 was 28 hours of torture and misery porn. SH2 can be depressing, but it at least comes from the heart. I actually care about the characters and story. You should already know Silent Hill 2 is about those multiple endings. I do not know what you were expecting.Only had to play that twice. Once if I used a guide. Sh2 is SIX playthroughs. Six!

Really? I learned something new about you today. You do whatever you like, but getting the 6 endings isn't too difficult. I will admit some of them are obtuse or aren't obvious on how you're supposed to get them in SH2. I still recommend a guide, if you ever decide to Platinum or change your mind.I have never played an SH game.
Said by you, who has a problem with a woman being a main protag to a sequel of a samurai/ronin/ninja open world game, where you didn't have much investment in the first game to begin with. Then got your panties in a bunch, because the director of the sequel dare to be a gay man, and the voice actor of the new protag, Atsu, having left wing politics. Even though most voice actors working in this industry (or in the anime and animation) have left wing politics. Someone is projecting more than they realize, and has 0 fucking room to talk.
I believe in you too! You can do it! Don't disappoint everyone!6 playthroughs for the platinum. Nope. No. Not a chance in hill.

Lol, if they didn't have it labeled as too which was the remake you would barely be able to tell, other than the guy in the thumbnail looks about 10 years older. The remake apparently needs to be much brighter so that you can see all that additional detail they've added. And you are 100% correct. For a game that wants to be a movie the cinematic cam is definitely the way to go. Doesn't stop the game from kind of sucking because all the characters are unlikeable doofuses, as is the Supermassive way, but it looks better anyway.
Video should start at 6:26. Shows the old cinematic cam and the new over-the-shoulder, side by side. What do you think? The only criticism that I have with Until Dawn's original cam is that forward on the stick is no longer forward when entering a new shot.
The new OTS cam only makes more sense in RE2 and 3 because the combat is built for it. How does it tie the cinematics and gameplay together better? I don't know what that means. Ironically, I call those old cameras cinematic because they are scripted by the creators rather than controlled by the player.

Evil Within 2 has a crouch run for stealth, but it has to be upgraded in the stealth section of the skill tree to be unlocked. You can unlock it even further to crouch into running stealth kill.As an aside that reminds me, I wonder why don’t more games have a crouch run for stealth. It makes sense in certain situations.
