No: in that instance, you had a problem with the game portraying something that's historically accurate, minus perhaps the use of a katana instead of naginata/tanto. You were categorically not objecting to a modern trend imposed on a historical setting. You wanted the developers to ignore a particular facet of the true historical setting because it involved a woman.I don't have a problem with a woman protagonist. I have a problem with the modern "strong woman" protagonist.
Lies. I don't wanna keep talking about it with you. Like I said, I read the room. No: in that instance, you had a problem with the game portraying something that's historically accurate, minus perhaps the use of a katana instead of naginata/tanto. In addition, your specific objections to the VA at the time weren't about defunding the police or supporting Harris/Walz. Your objection at the time was supported solely by a text snippet showing that she's queer, she's genderfluid, and she donated to the Trevor Project (a suicide prevention charity). That's what you brought up as objectionable. It was fucking rancid.
Nope, It's the truth and you're the one that's only been lying, using partial truths, projecting, and hiding behind excuses. Don't ask me because you already know the answer and can't read the roof for shit.Lies
Why are you speaking? You already said that you won't respond anymore, so what point is there in me speaking with a brick wall?Nope, It's the truth and you're the one that's only been lying, using partial truths, projecting, and hiding behind excuses. Don't ask me because you already know the answer and can't read the roof for shit.
Figure it out. You already know the answer. You just gave it to me twice over. Why are you speaking?
What's a lie, exactly? What I said there is demonstrably true.Lies. I don't wanna keep talking about it with you. Like I said, I read the room.
It's right below the X hyperlink of the weird Harris/Walz endorsement. What's a lie, exactly? What I said there is demonstrably true.
You did post a snippet of text saying the VA is queer, genderfluid, and donates to the Trevor Project, as reason to object to her. Here is the post.
These women would have been few and far between and alongside or behind male soldiers, often as a last line of defense (What point is there in letting them all die with the castle, before putting up a fight?), not wandering the countryside alone, drawing attention in every village and town as they reject the gender norms and patriarchy, incensing and thereby putting themselves in danger. You did object to characteristics which are historically accurate, such as Sengoku or Edo period women warriors alongside Samurai and wearing armour. Here is the post.
I meant that I don't wanna speak about it anymore with any of you. You collectively have a reputation. You never talked with me about it to begin with (though you did smear people like me, when you implied non-hetero people are likely only hired for "political reasons").
I don't much care how or where it starts/restarts; if someone says something wrong or insulting I'm going to object. Is this how it's gonna be? BrawlMan brings the conversation some place else and I have to start again?
OK, so what's the relevance of them being queer or donating to the Trevor Project? Why is that relevant to your case that this person was not hired on merit? It's right below the X hyperlink of the weird Harris/Walz endorsement.
You first specifically objected to her using Samurai weaponry or armour.
"From the late Edo period, the status of women declined. In the 17th century, the 'Onna Daigaku', or 'Learning for Women', by Confucianist author Kaibara Ekken, spelled out expectations for Japanese women, stating that 'such is the stupidity of her character that it is incumbent on her, in every particular, to distrust herself and to obey her husband'."[10]
But they take the exceptions from history and exaggerate them for their smug vision of women who dress and fight just like men. There's an interesting version of this character that the developers don't want to write.
Nobody is making you. Feel free to not. But if you repeat historical inaccuracies or imply denigrating things about groups of people, then I'm going to call it out.I meant that I don't wanna speak about it anymore with any of you. You collectively have a reputation.
Nor would they have a body count in the hundreds. If you want to talk about illogical... But let's still scream at a fictional woman doing what a fictional man equally wouldn't be able to do in real-life.Samurai themselves wouldn't have been wandering the countryside and solo-ing towns either. Yet Ghost of Tsushima featured a Samurai pushed out of his traditional role, and doing so out of necessity and desperation. That's the point of the series: he would 100% be an enormous exception to the Samurai ideal and tradition, and that's a major theme of the game. Are you equally incensed at Jin Sakai stepping outside of his traditionally-mandated role?
Huh, do they put out pirated versions of games that fast these days? Crazy.I pirated it because I really, really don't want Konami to make any money off of me. I'll check it out by the weekend.
Queer and everything under the sun. Get it right so that she doesn't have to tell it again. These professionals chum up to like-minded leftists, Sony Computer Entertainment being very openly so (in terms of identity, not in terms of money and workers, which is why she can support Harris/Walz) after building up their operations in California.OK, so what's the relevance of them being queer or donating to the Trevor Project? Why is that relevant to your case that this person was not hired on merit?
I didn't play Ghost of Tsushima. Have a PS4, had it when the game was still exclusive, but looks too much like a Ubisoft game, has the tiresome over-the-shoulder camera and generic stealth. It's on my Steam wishlist, but I'm waiting for a deep discount. Is the protagonist a ronin? Ronin were common. You first specifically objected to her using Samurai weaponry or armour.

Also, your own source says "the late Edo period". This game doesn't take place in the late Edo period. It takes place in the late Sengoku/very early Edo period, when onna-musha and buheisha were more characteristic. (Also, Onna Daigaku is 18th Century, not 17th).
Depends. Anything that doesn't have Denuvo? Within a day. Anything that does? Takes actual years.Huh, do they put out pirated versions of games that fast these days? Crazy.
If you find someone being queer as a reason to object to their involvement in a project, then it doesn't matter how you characterise it, I wasn't lying.Queer and everything under the sun. Get it right so that she doesn't have to tell it again.
No, he's a vassal to a Lord, as well as a Lord in his own right following the death of his uncle.I didn't play Ghost of Tsushima. So what? Fact remains that in the period in which the game is actually set, well over a century before onna daigaku was published, warrior women existed and used many of the same armours and weaponry as Samurai. That's really all that's relevant to a discussion about the accuracy of those elements. Those late Edo beliefs came from sexism passed down.
