This is actually good news in two ways. Scalpers proverbially getting their teeth kicked in is great obviously, but it also implies the console isn't flying of the shelves.
Yeah even as a frame rate whore myself, the touted improvements sound so minimal it ain't worth the price or the effort. 60fps is good enough. As long as they don't start locking that performance mode on the machine for new games like Empire of Ants apparently has done.

Ok, so dude streamed himself playing pirated games before release, told others to do the same, and contacted Nintendo directly to brag about it.

Normally I'd go "Fuck Nintendo", but that's just such an impressive display of stupid it genuinely merits vivisection by way of Nintendo ninja.

He probably though any publicity is good publicity. Might be right too, I don't know much about these sort of lawsuit, but wouldn't be surprised if they all end in wrist slap.

Ohh Yes, and it's not like you guys released an insulting pachinko game, treated the original creator like crap, and released a shitty spin-off w/ paid save slots! /s
I am glad that I never liked anything Konami related so I don't have to support them. I can only support a few choice shitty companies.

Making you and I in the same boat as everyone else. Activision-Blizzard ain't much better, and I have even less dire to touch their stuff. Konami pretty much outsource to whoever, but at least with their recent track record (Haunted Castle Revisited, Contra: Operation Galuga, SH2R), they bothered to get studios who actually care about their work, output, and actually give them time to develop these games. This isn't me coming to the defense of Konami. They can still fuck off though.

Almost every video game company has done or is currently doing shitty stuff. Unfortunately for us gamers, we have to support bad companies sometimes in order to play certain levels of games. Otherwise we just don't play games at all anymore or are severely limited to indie only and quite honestly there are a lot of shitty indie developers too, but you don't hear about that because they are too small and fly under the radar.

Trying to only support companies which share your personal ethics is pretty much impossible, so it's just a matter of picking what you buy via only supporting projects you think are good regardless of the company name attached to them.

And they usually tend to stay dead when they fuck up or fuck up real bad. I still run into way more good in the developers than bad. Even if it's a game or genre, I don't care much for, nor like.

Yeah, we've already had this conversation a billion times already. Like.
I said before I don't bother. Most AAA companies any way. Even the ones I do like I'll still call it mouth. They do something stupid or won't support the product until it's on a deep sale. Sometimes not at all. Exoprimal I'll never waste money on because it's always tied to an online server. The
moment the server gets shut down, the single player goes as well. A game like that is not worth it at any price. Not even for free.

It might be argued that Konami knows less about Metal Gear than gamers do these days.

Zone of the Enders and Suikoden too? Never met anyone who didn't like those 2.
