The core of the narrative around The Woke being mad about Marvel Rivals is really about Concord - you know the hero shooter for "modern audiences" that shut down and issued refunds in less than a month, and then claimed that the game failed because the hero shooter market is just over-saturated? Except we're just a couple of months later and here's a new hero shooter that's very successful, which challenges the developer/media narrative about why Concord failed so abysmally.
Was anyone even excited for Concord or Dustborn? The antiwoke crowd have been using these two as their latest weapons in the "go woke, go broke" arsenal but I don't think anyone even knew about these games until they released and bombed.
