American kids grow up in such a bubble. Can’t teach them to hate each other (and furthermore themselves) otherwise.
I wasn't taught the bullshit in school. Everyone is a product of their time and your ancestors were relatively just as bad and good as some other person's ancestors as well. I was shocked that a John Oliver Last Week Tonight about Asians was like 'did you know about Japanese internment camps?' and I'm like how don't people know about that, that was grade or high school basic history when I went to school (and public school, not some fancy private school). They teach so much BS in school now, I have at least 5 teacher friends and when they talk about what type of class they are teaching, I'm like why are kids learning that instead of important shit.

There was a TikTok video about atheism, which was basically. What about rich atheists that don't question captalism because they happen to make money? I stopped being an atheist a long time ago, but my guess is that there is likely one entity that controls everything in this universe, just like some people at home happen to have their own servers, and that makes more sense than a committee controlling something; however, I have not ruled that out as being possible for other universes. So yes, it's something like the simulation hypothesis, and I just fleshed it out a little bit.

That being said, one...

Two

So what if they don't question captalism? Maybe they have different base benefits than you on how society ought to be run. And I am guessing for many it's economic growth, so come up with an economic system that creates sustained economic growth without a dictatorship.

That said, Tik Tok being banned would ruin many people's livelihoods, but while I think it benefits US primacy to have been banned, and even better if it were brought by Oracle or Microsoft, I think I would do the same thing as a public policymaker if I were one, vs. being a regular citizen.

San Francisco Department of HEALTH hired a fat positivity "expert" to consult with. People complain about RFK Jr being brought on by Trump and laugh at the selection. But the left's selections are far more laughable and objectively worse.
Well because a fat acceptance activist isn't worse than a fucking anti-vax conspiracy theorist dipshit. And because a 12k consultancy is nowhere near as significant as secretary of health.

Stop bringing facts into it, it's not fair to Phoenixmgs.

What has RFK Jr actually proposed that would make people less healthy?

The Biden administration appointed the doctor that said the #1 cause of obesity is genetics to dietary guidelines committee. Even the interviewer that asked the question was noticeably befuddled by the doctor's answer that doesn't even pass the common sense test. I'll take RFK Jr over those clowns.

The guy who believes vaccines cause autism, that fluoride in the water is dangerous, that the link between HIV and AIDS isn't direct?

I'll take RFK Jr over those clowns.
Because you are comparably poor at evaluating data.

Again, what has he proposed that he wants to do that make Americans less healthy? RFK Jr is not being appointed to the vaccine committee like the crazy doctor that said obesity is caused by genetics is being appointed to the dietary guidelines committee.

What data says genetics cause obesity?

Dismantling the nutrition department of the FDA, and ending fluoridisation of water would be two examples.

Edit: good lord, the dipshit even believes in chemtrails. He shouldn't be left in charge of a lego set.

What data says genetics cause obesity?
Irrelevant distraction, this isn't what we're talking about.

I'd have to know exactly which department he's referring to and what they do because the FDA has very poor nutritional advice as is. I had to learn on my own what foods are good for you because basically all the official guidelines tell you to eat the wrong foods.

Then, what are you talking about?

Horseshit. Fluoridisation, at the levels carried out on drinking water in almost all areas, is utterly harmless and beneficial to dental health. There is no medical dispute on this. Only conspiracy fuckwits.

You learned on your own and came to extremely poor conclusions. If you believe the opposite of the FDA, that inclines me to think the FDA is probably correct.

Then, what are you talking about?
Currently, we're talking about whether the hiring of a fat acceptance activist to a 15k city consultancy position is worse than the hiring of someone with zero comprehension of HIV/AIDS, and who believes conspiracy dogshit about vaccines, autism, chemtrails, etc as the Secretary of Health.

There is absolutely zero comparison, for anyone with either a sense of perspective, or a non-infantile level of comprehension of this stuff. Absolutely zero. He's a fucking drooling moron.

Then why doesn't everyone else do it? Also:

Being at a healthier weight than my high school weight is a poor conclusion? Again, you keep confusing that these are MY conclusions, everything I say I can cite an expert saying it. You're arguing against experts in the field, not me. Also, you didn't answer my question about what department RFK Jr wants to dismantle and what that department does.

The fat acceptance consultant is gonna consult about the bullshit she's saying like "no one has to be healthy". You also forget about the doctor that believes the #1 cause of obesity is genetics being on the dietary committee. Is RFK Jr on the HIV/AIDS committee or the vaccine committee? The clowns I'm complaining about are on committees that actually pertain to the bullshit they are peddling.

A mixture of reasons, chief among them the difficulty of adjusting existing water infrastructure to facilitate it, and the cost of implementation for a relatively minor benefit.

Thank you for providing evidence of my point, its appreciated.

Well no, because you cherry pick a few talking-heads you agree with; you don't follow the scientific consensus, ignore/dismiss whatever you dislike regardless of expertise, and cannot evaluate data.

You think the Secretary of the Department of Health has no relation to HIV/AIDS treatment, vaccines, autism etc? Are you joking?

There is no evidence that putting fluoride in the water post-1975 has provided any benefit, that's what the paper said.

So I picked the talking heads that would say foods that I like like French fries and pizza are bad for me? I wanted to find out what is actually good food and I think I found that out based on the results.

Is the Secretary of the Department of Health on the committees that would give recommendations for vaccines or HIV or autism? The person saying obesity is caused by genetics being on the dietary guidelines board will do far more harm (and people like that have done massive harm). RFK Jr is less harmful than people the left is propping up yet no criticism from you guys on them.

Unless I am mistaken, Phoenixmgs is claiming that everything he says can be defended by experts, whilst criticises appointees he disagrees with on government panels... who are also experts.

Thus there is a huge problem with logical consistency here. If some experts can be "clowns", one cannot defend one's opinions just because it is the view of experts.

You have amply proven, once again, that you cannot read papers.

You tend to choose perspectives that aren't wholly indefensible, but that conveniently align with what you already believe. There's a world of difference.

Is the Secretary of the Department of Health on the committees that would give recommendations for vaccines or HIV or autism?
"The committee"? Their job is to oversee the department that has ultimate responsibility for all of that stuff. It's far, far more central to federal policy on vaccines, HIV, and autism than any committee.

Phoenixmgs defines "experts" as "people who tell me how right I am".
Exactly why I don't bother with him anymore.

Experts in actual knowledge. Even the interviewer knew saying the main cause of obesity is genetics was bullshit.

You have amply proven, once again, that you cannot read papers.

We were unsure whether there were any effects on tooth decay when fluoride is removed from a water supply.

Hence, no evidence. Where's this unequivocal evidence that fluoride is doing anything in water if it's such a known fact (according to you)? Surely, there will be completely objective and empirical evidence pointing to that very claim.

What did I believe about healthy food beforehand? Surely, I would've found that the food pyramid was then indeed correct because that's what I was taught in school.

You actually think the FDA is going to change any stance about vaccines because of RFK Jr? What about when the Biden administration pushed covid boosters that had no evidence and then 2 of the best directors of the FDA quit over that? Let me know when RFK Jr causes something that bad or worse to happen.

We in the US don't need a good work ethic, social cohesion/civic nationalism is a shitty idea. The idea that we should do our jobs, and put our heads down is insane and not of the America that won the Cold War, World War 2, helped trigger a win in World War 1, won against Mexico, and got the western US.

Let the Chinese, Indians, European Union citizens, and other undynamic countries, regions, cultures, and so forth do that. Do I agree with Saagar Enjeti that we should stop immigration for 20 years like in the 1920s no. But I also don't agree that we should make new immigrants indentured servants or be in a multicultural democracy. There should be no double loyalties(Like in a multicultural democracy). Did I say stupid shit when I was attacked on Tik Tok yes? But you know what's the first thing I did at age 27 when I assumed I was cured of my illness I rushed to a US military recruiting base and asked to be in a Bradly Fighting Vehicle as an infantryman. Even if I had said it was a dumb idea on Reddit and I do say stupid shit a lot, and double guess it. My heart is my heart, and my loyalty is with the US. It's the same with Saagar Enjeti it's just we share two different perspectives on how to make America the good place, a city on the hill, etc.

Also, nepotism(Indian, white, etc.) is bad, but so is racism.
